Anything in particular I should know about the interview, from those who had to do one?
Also, congrats to everyone who's already been accepted!

Nearly identical numbers here (3.1), so this is nice to hear. Good luck, let us know how it goes!
Has anyone on here interviewed and been dinged?

Yeah, same. It's one of the few schools I'm paying to apply to though, so I'm gonna give it a shot. If I got accepted I'd have to talk to my family about how much they'd be comfortable paying, and even then I'm not sure. I'd like to have the accept to hold over other lower ranked schools heads for more money though.nickb285 wrote:Thanks, good luck to you too! Though I will say my debt aversion is screaming at me right now--just checked out Craigslist, and a studio in DC is the same as my entire cost of living here.

Yeah. I think my family would be able to at least cover rent, if not all my COL, but I know I'd be on the hook for tuition and books at the very least, which means I'm still looking at $150k if I have to pay sticker. Definitely not my first choice, but we'll see how things shake out.

Does anyone know of any significant difference in being given a group interview vs. an alumni interview?

Maybe; LSN is showing some rejections for some of the other T14's though. Good luck to everyone at their interviews! Is anyone visiting for the Open House things they invite you to? Is it worth going to?francesfarmer wrote:Congrats! Any envelope coming this early has got to be good news, right?Vincent wrote: Also, most of you know this already, but for those who don't, the letter came in a small, thin envelope. I just got an e-mail about doing a group interview. Is this usually a good sign and do they specifically target certain applicants for these interviews?

Same here. Did you guys get a group interview in your own state (sorry that is what slawws seemed to allude to)? I got one about a group interview in DC.slawww wrote:Same here, also in Miami. Unfortunately, I am out of the city for an internship, but I'm hoping I will be able to do an interview in DC since I'm right by GULC.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Same here, in Miami. For the original question, it cannot be a bad thing. It is defiantly a step in the right direction of wanting to get more to know about us.
Is it a sure sign you are getting admitted? No

The neighborhood they specified it would be in is less than ten minutes from my place, so I definitely lucked out.Gisney wrote: Same here. Did you guys get a group interview in your own state (sorry that is what slawws seemed to allude to)? I got one about a group interview in DC.

Has anyone made the additional video? Any insight on what they are looking for?
Thought about doing this option but unsure of anyone's successes. I could see it being helpful but could also come across dopey or worse.

Anyone do a small group interview this cycle? Got invited to one with Dean Cornblatt and 8-15 others; can't do it unfortunately (out of town), but I wanted to know what the invite means...

As a heads up for anyone thinking about it, I got a solicited fee-waiver just from a short email. My numbers are slightly above their median, but the admissions officer who responded was really nice! I'd recommend giving it a shot if you're debating whether or not to apply.

I had the same experience successfully soliciting a waiver from Georgetown. Anyone on the fence should remember that there's no harm in asking and you may be surprised with good news!cwid1391 wrote:As a heads up for anyone thinking about it, I got a solicited fee-waiver just from a short email.
