Anyone know what days the admissions committee will meet next week? Is it just Christmas Day they take off? Only a few days left here for them to get back to us ED applicants...

Still waiting here. I called yesterday; the recording said they'd be gone from 3:00 PM EST Friday until 9:00 AM on the 26th.

For some reason I assumed no one would hear anything from any schools until after the new year. Time to refresh application statuses again!

I'm going to go look at last year's data- were people let in at ANY t14 the 4th week of December?

Yeah, some people were let in Columbia ED up until NYE.

Dinged ED, as expected. 162, 3.76, non-URM. Very politely-worded letter made me feel less bad, though. As did simultaneously receiving another letter informing me of a nice scholarship elsewhere ^^ Soooo glad I got the two letters the same day. Really softened the blow. Congrats to everyone getting in!

Snail mail. It was very gentle. Something like "we regret to inform you we cannot offer you a favorable outcome" ... aww. I still love you, Columbia. Someday, somehow maybe.

Roughly the same for me. I retook the LSAT in December and I suspect that that's why mine still hasn't gone complete. It's hard to tell though because while some universities mark you as complete once you have a score down, others will hold off completion until they have all your scores without you necessarily telling them to.

If you didn't retake, I'd email them and ask about it.

I am also waiting for my ED decision. I agree that today has to be the last day we can hear good news (via email) but not necessarily the last day we can get bad news. It seems like they are sending ding letters via regular snail mail (can anyone confirm this?), in which case they could be mailing out one final wave of dings today that would be postmarked for the end of December but that we wouldn't receive until probably the first week of January. In my mind if I don't get an email today with good news I think it is safe to assume a ding will arrive via snail mail Jan 1-4.

Waitlist decisions are sent via email or snail mail? Is it only rejections that come in the mail?
