Waitlisted. This didn't hurt as much as I expected it to; kinda feels like a challenge, haha.

Congrats/Good Luck To All!

Good luck applicants. W&L is a great school... I'm a 1L from San Diego and I'm happy to answer any Qs about the cultural transition into small town life or what to expect your first semester if I can.

I got waitlisted this morning as well.

I am happy because I finally have some kind of decision made on my files, regardless of it what the decision actually was!

And holy cow they were FAST. I submitted on Monday, went UR next day, and now I'm WL'd. Not trying to speculate as to how mediocre they must think I am though (not bad enough to deny, not good enough to accept).

Gotta admit, that's impressive speed isn't it? Either that or they're just accepting/denying with #'s only, and WL'ing anyone in the middle for further review later? I dunno. Seems pretty crazy for an admittedly small office to go through a lot of apps so fast... I suppose maybe their load is lighter now? I dunno.

I submitted Sunday and was under review Monday. I am pretty sure they read everything seeing as both my numbers were not at medians, etc.. I was impressed none-the-less

I wonder what separated you from me where you got in and I got WL'd since we have similar numbers. What do your softs look like?

Just submitted tonight! I hope I have the quick turnaround that it seems you all have had. Although I'm a bit nervous, on LSN there are two people on my exact GPA/LSAT point... one rejected, one accepted (neither are URMs). So I have no idea what to expect.

theavrock wrote: I got denied with a 3.34 166. Pretty curious on how that happened too. Maybe there is some truth to the C&F stuff. All of mine was from 2002, but I had a ton of speeding tickets and other driving things. No alcohol related or anything major like that, but lots (8+) of little incidents.
After reading back through the thread and seeing all the C&F rejections I'm starting to worry... I have almost your same numbers (3.37/167) but three speeding tickets, one "following too closely" from an accident, a civil suit from a car accident (a different accident, so minor the cop didn't even write me a ticket but the driver still sued me anyway), and a university alcohol violation... ALL from 2008 or earlier. Am I completely screwed?

I noticed some earlier people in this thread discussing whether lexington would be too boring for their tastes. I went to undergrad in a moderately sized city and I am so far really enjoying my experience here (and I am in the middle of exams so that is saying something). The law school does a great job of planning great events for us nearly every weekend with free booze/ food, and I can assure you that these events end up being far from boring.

I also can assure you that I have quite possibly the best group of classmates ever. Everyone is great, even now when the pressure is really at its worst.

Any other questions send me a message cause I don't know when I will remember to check this again.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

If I visit, and I intend to do so, I will likely do so in March.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
