Hey guys, 1L here just wishing you all good luck w/ the admissions process. I seem to remember acceptances seeming to trickle in over time with a few hot spots in there.
Admissions here is a pretty nice group of people, and definitely influenced my impression of UCLA in making my choice to attend. Especially if you get in and you have doubts about where to go, I encourage you to not be afraid to ask them questions.

I think it's cruel they called people on Sunday. Now we have no day where we can tell ourselves "Okay, I'm definitely not getting a call today. I can go outside and put my phone on vibrate..."adamdroog wrote:I predict there will be decisions this weekend.

I'm starting to see the advantages of keeping the sabbath in the jewish tradition.Redsgomarchingon wrote:I think it's cruel they called people on Sunday. There are even more advantages to disregarding religion entirely.

Sorry, no flame war here, just espousing an opinion with no desire to argue. It's an argument that can not have a conclusion and therefore I have no interest in it. It will lead to religious person saying "HAVE FAITH" and me rolling my eyes and being flabbergasted and aggie when she's flabbergasted is bad.

With all due respect, law school forums (particularly the on-topic forums) are not the place to discuss organized religion/spirituality/faith/doing lots of shrooms and seeing what happens. These comments tend to escalate into heated debates and, in the end, completely derail whichever unfortunate thread they fall under. It's best to just not say anything at all.Aggiegrad2011 wrote:Sorry, no flame war here, just espousing an opinion with no desire to argue. So with that... back to UCLA.

I think law school students and future law school students in particular are guilty of this, which is why we see so much of it here on LSN. It's hard to hold your tongue concerning political and social issues when you obviously are interested in them enough to spend your life pursuing the study and practice of all things pertaining to them.beachbum wrote:With all due respect, law school forums (particularly the on-topic forums) are not the place to discuss organized religion/spirituality/faith/doing lots of shrooms and seeing what happens. Besides, we could all use a little distraction from poring over every mistake on our applications and weighing our chances of being accepted to school A versus school B.
Just my two cents.

I just got a call from Dean Schwartz with a merit scholarship. So yes, they are making decisions this weekend.

That was probably unfair of me. Either way, as someone who only went complete on Nov 30 I'm not going to be worrying about receiving a call today.
