I'm looking at LSN from last year (as I'm sure we all are lol) and it's interesting to note that there were initially 3 rejections and a then 1 W/L...and then the vast majority were then admitted over the next few days. Then about 4 people were rejected on Feb. 1st. Not sure what conclusions can be drawn from that.

Honestly, I hope they don't. That whole theory on the status dates is so convoluted. I'd much rather just have it say "denied" or get an acceptance call than have to speculate all weekend on what a date change means! lol

It sounds likely that the system is different this year. I don't remember anyone being denied (or accepted for that matter) via status checker last year. Everyone got the date change, followed by "decision rendered" which was then followed up by either a phone call or thin envelope.

+1

Given that they have only given out rejections (according to LSN at least) maybe they are stacking up acceptances and will release those all at once. Hopefully it is a good sign that we have survived thus far...fingers crossed

Does anyone know what SMU's scholarship stipulations typically are?

I think I remember reading that it's just being in "good standing".

Nice. Well, here's to hoping for good money from SMU. Nearly every other school that I've gotten good money from has stringent stipulations for keeping it.

That's correct. And it's a huge relief when grades start coming back in.

That was more of a fingers crossed for all of us to hear from them. Not meant to be just for an acceptance for me, although I would really like that. :)

So this is a silly question: On my status checker, my daytime number is from a satellite office I worked at during the summer/fall. Evening is my cell phone. In the unlikely situation where they try to call me, and no one answers the "daytime" number, will they try to call the evening one? Or leave a message at the daytime one?

The stupidest part is that I just realized this, despite refreshing the Status Checker so many times the last few days.

Just being paranoid and crazy.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
