No mail at all. That never happens. Maybe just not here yet?

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
I've had this happen a few times since the SO and I recently moved; some days we have nothing, literally nothing, in the mailbox. I didn't think it was possible either, until I started obsessively checking the mail for LS decisions...!sanguar wrote:No mail at all. That never happens. Maybe just not here yet?

Probably just not there yet. My usual mailman's been on vacation and things have definitely been different (time it comes, amount of mail, etc), so you never know what's going on with USPS.

Worse is when you see the mailman put stuff in your box, and it turns out to be just bills and sale papers. This admissions cycle is driving me crazy.sanguar wrote:No mail at all. That never happens. Maybe just not here yet?

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
In via package to my permanent address (thanks mom and dad for the call!). Complete 11/18, no Why ND, very much non-Catholic. I don't know how in the world I got in. They sent a fee waiver my way back in the fall and I figured I'd just apply for the sake of it.
Awarded a scholarship as well, for those wondering if it comes with the package.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
Been over 12 weeks for me also. I actually called the other day and they said they "should get me a decision soon but they ... really ... weren't ... sure". I was reminded that they took 2 weeks off for Xmas break, so I guess that's a factor.TracyLynn wrote:Congrats to the recent admits! It's a little frustrating that they don't have status check. I feel like I'm in hold ... even though I have no way of confirming that.

I submitted over 40 days ago and still no word. I am looking for other people in the same boat? Does anyone have any theories on the next batch of acceptances/whether we are a WL group?

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
I submitted at the beginning of November. No clue when the next batch will go out. I called them on January 25th, and I was told that my app had recently been put in review and that a decision would be made within 10 days. Called again on February 16th and was told that my app is still in review. Not sure when you/I should expect a decision.HelltotheNo wrote:I submitted over 40 days ago and still no word. Complete in early December, still waiting here as well. Pretty much just waiting on ND before I make my decision.

that certainly doesn't bode well for me...and ND is arguably my top choice at the moment.sprewell wrote:just got the WL letter. was complete 11/18. 163/3.83

I am really hoping to hear from ND soon. I wonder how the IU-B scholarships are affecting their admissions.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
That's a very good point. I would think that IU-B and ND would probably attract some very different applicants, but at the same time, anyone interested in the midwest or with borderline numbers (like me in both cases) will have probably applied to both.HelltotheNo wrote:I am really hoping to hear from ND soon. I'd like to think that ND will soon be responding in kind (i.e. with acceptances and $$) to IU-B's recent wave of acceptances with $$$, but who knows?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
