3.6 171, just got email for preferred waitlist at Georgetown. Wow, this really sucks, I was counting on Georgetown and I have no acceptances so far...

The email makes it seem like we still have a decent shot? The fact that they'll update us by March 22 is definitely encouraging. As far as waitlists go, the whole "special group, preferred waitlist" thing is kind of bizarre, but at least we know we're at the top of the WL pile? With the early date for notification, it almost feels more like a hold...

I suppose we can't be too far off from hearing. If the preferred waitlist folks are going to be reevaluated by March 22 then you have to assume we'll get our decisions a week or two before then. I hope.

I was put on the PWL a while back, but my e-mail didn't mention March 22, only that they'd check in May to see if we were still interested. What's going on around March 22?

Any ED candidates that were deferred have their status' update since the deferral? I just went under review again as of today and was wondering if that meant we might hear before 2/26

Not ED here, but I was deferred after my interview anyway, along with a few of us, I think. I haven't heard squat in a month. It's pretty weird to watch all these updates/WLs/PWLs etc and hear nothing at all, especially with their self-imposed 2/26 deadline.

UR since 1/12. How is it possible them to review ONE application for over a month when they have 12,000 applicants?

It's funny... I'm almost hoping I don't get into GULC because I've got a nice scholarship offer from NDLS and it'd be tough to choose between a fringe T14 at sticker and the biggest names top 25 at half tuition. A good problem to have, to be sure, though. Really more than anything I just want to know whats up.

I know the feeling, I have 9 schools left of hear from, all ranked above my highest acceptance so far ... but all difficult to justify full tuition when I have IS at UGA and want to practice in the southeast. Life would almost (ALMOST) be easier with 9 rejections.
