That was my first ever college assignment. We needed to watch in the summer before class for my "war of drugs" freshman seminar.potterotter wrote:I sat in on a Criminal Procedure class at Yale and we watched The WireSybillAnnDorsett wrote:Okay I'm officially bored someone please change the subject.

Here's the thing; I've scored in the 99th for this test and my GPA is near median, so why shouldn't I receive some sort of merit aid? That's what's more annoying than anything brother. Especially since others with lesser numbers have.amta wrote:whooshfips tedora wrote: Believe it or not, I'd actually like to save my parents money.

I'd be angry if I'm paying for Yale and that's what their famed curriculum is :-p

I would like to say, that my parents are also very well-off (although they have set a limit on how much they will help me), but it hasn't stopped me from getting any merit aid. That probably doesn't make you feel better, but I'm not sure that you can blame your parents' wealth for lack of scholarships (or maybe you can and I'm an exception...idk).fips tedora wrote:Here's the thing; I've scored in the 99th for this test and my GPA is near median, so why shouldn't I receive some sort of merit aid? The professor masterfully used it to show students how "every piece matters" in a wiretapping case. From one specific scene they were able to teach all of the requirements to have a phone wiretapped, and it led to a discussion of the 4th amendment in the modern technological age. It was glorious. Stop hating it's getting so oldKeilz wrote:That was my first ever college assignment. Congrats btw! Remember back to our days of waiting on NYU. Sucks you won't get to eat some snowballs from yours truly now that you got into Yale. (There will be more than enough snow up there, though.)

I'd actually expect ETS to be MORE receptive to the racial bias of "standardized" tests than LSAC would beMonday wrote:Except, the LSAT is the same as the GRE in this regard.shotgunheist wrote:GRE: The white male's URM bump
