I do believe a JS1 off of the waitlist is pretty much a guaranteed admit, though. Can someone confirm this?

Give me a couple of weeks. I'll let you know what a JS1 off of the hold list means. :?
Good luck! But I'm thinking even beyond on the wl. I think last year's wl thread had a pretty high success rate if you got a JS1.

JS1 convert rate has dropped significantly as cycle has gone on, if you just read through the thread / hold thread. its non-negligable.

someone else can theorize on why

I suggest that we hire wannabe as a full time in-house consultant for this thread, given his proven track record at getting movement and results. Hopefully, we can get Lavitz's approval. We are also working on getting vzapana to donate the proceeds of his winning bet towards the salary.
Wannabe will of course have to sign a no-compete clause. This will preclude him from activity on other threads including, but not limited to, further LOCI-writing to other schools. It may also mean that at some point he will have to withdraw his WUSTL application. But who needs law school when you've got a cushy consulting gig lined up? So this would solve his problem about getting admitted there.

I accept. Now I'm going to go to my lab and run some models and thread simulations. I hope to have a course of action within 24 hours.

I wouldn't read into it too much, the article makes us all feel inferior...

Err.....don't worry....that's part of my plan. I did this. Im putting on a negative campaign to discourage other people from applying. Carry on.

have you filled out the survey about your interests? It took them about a month, but then I got an absolute flood of emails.

Haha, sorry everyone. We should all band together and do something awesome, write a LOCI about it, and then all get in.

Filled it out but haven't received anything yet. I guess I'll wait for my special snowflake emails in vain.
