Good luck! But I'm thinking even beyond on the wl. I think last year's wl thread had a pretty high success rate if you got a JS1.MacB wrote:broadstreet11 wrote:I do believe a JS1 off of the waitlist is pretty much a guaranteed admit, though. Can someone confirm this?ohpobrecito wrote:Is it dumb to assume that someone who gets a JS1 invite this late in the game is more likely to be admitted than someone who received their invite back in the fall, when they had yet to accept anyone? Am I just dreaming?
Give me a couple of weeks. I'll let you know what a JS1 off of the hold list means.

JS1 convert rate has dropped significantly as cycle has gone on, if you just read through the thread / hold thread. its non-negligable.

I suggest that we hire wannabe as a full time in-house consultant for this thread, given his proven track record at getting movement and results. Hopefully, we can get Lavitz's approval. We are also working on getting vzapana to donate the proceeds of his winning bet towards the salary.
Wannabe will of course have to sign a no-compete clause. This will preclude him from activity on other threads including, but not limited to, further LOCI-writing to other schools. It may also mean that at some point he will have to withdraw his WUSTL application. But who needs law school when you've got a cushy consulting gig lined up? So this would solve his problem about getting admitted there.

I accept. Now I'm going to go to my lab and run some models and thread simulations. I hope to have a course of action within 24 hours.
