They saw you had eyes for others. Basically, they didn't love you because you loved another. It's ok, it happens.rfar1815 wrote:I've been sitting at complete since 1/16. Applied 12/4. 169, 3.9x

And yeah, there have only been scholarship offers to the people above both medians. The rest of us are stuck here. We will all suffer through this troubling time

I think it was $105k to people with numbers above both medians.wannabelawstudent wrote:There was one small batch that went out last week, nothing since then.romothesavior wrote:Has scholarship info not gone out at all yet?

First batch of schollies came out last Thursday. Anyone want to lay odds on today?
They have fulfilled their unofficial obligation to begin releasing scholly decisions by end of February, so maybe they actually are waiting to process Feb. LSAT scores (which were released yesterday, right?). That would mean at least a few more days of waiting for us...

Look at last year's profiles, the only people who applied with 168+ who got waitlisted, and didn't apply super late, were people who applied to a BUNCH of schools. I'm guessing its some form of yield protection, maybe it applies to you. Especially if theres no C&F issues etc.rfar1815 wrote:I've been sitting at complete since 1/16. Applied 12/4. 169, 3.9x

There is no shame in knowing that NYC is not the city for you. I love visiting NYC, and devour my New York Magazine each week, but living there was really hard on this California girl. There was something unfulfilling about lack of greenery, sharing an office, living in a converted 1-BR that, added up, did not make the amazing nightlife worth it....and if you're a student, doubly so. My friends and I used to joke that dollar bills just flew out of our wallets the second we left home...there's so many places to stop and buy and browse and you need a coffee from the bodega...and...and...and...then you're really poor.danitt wrote:I'm keeping hope alive! At the end of this process my plan is to literally sob into my cosigner's shoulder until they give me what I want. Which is not to move to NYC. I can't cope there. I know this about myself.shntn wrote:alwayssunnyinfl wrote: DON'T SAY THAT

Everyone on LSN is. I'm exactly at one and slightly above the other, and people above both 75ths got the same amount. That, combined with coming out and saying they're willing to "partner with us to create the best financial aid package possible" in the email, makes it seem like the offers are substantially flexible for at least some of the people in the first wave, and probably so for subsequent offers as well.cusenation wrote:I don't think everyone in that batch was above both mediansalwayssunnyinfl wrote:I think it was $105k to people with numbers above both medians.wannabelawstudent wrote: There was one small batch that went out last week, nothing since then.

WUSTL pretty nakedly bids for people whose numbers help one of their medians. If the initial offer isn't enough, I'd just make a real expression of interest and just ask. At worst, it doesn't work and you're left with the original (and probably pretty generous) offer. At best, you save that much more debt.

danitt - are you seriously considering other schools, aside from uva? Or just waiting to see what kind of money other places will give?

My co-signer is insisting I go to Cardozo because UVA is too expensive. I can't even process that. I refuse to. So I'm looking at middle ground schools for options.T20hopeful89 wrote:danitt wrote:That shit ain't funny man. It ain't funny!!! *sobs*Dmini7 wrote:Isn't danitt going to UVA???![]()

This is me being ignorant as I do not know the process, but find a new co-signer. Or beg UVA to up your schools so your co-signer will agree/ to transfer your acceptance and scholarship offer to Dmini7danitt wrote:My co-signer is insisting I go to Cardozo because UVA is too expensive. Also, UVA will end up around 60k more after including living expenses. Your co-signer is crazy to think giving up the national portability of UVA, and better average outcome is worth saving that 60k.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
