Re: Fordham Waiting Room
Hi Fordham friends. In at 9:30pm via email from Dean Brown (hi!). He indicated I would hear from financial aid soon regarding a scholarship. So glad everything worked out and very impressed by the personal note.

This thread keeps on getting better and better.
I've been too busy to contribute much, but I've been lurking quite a bit and just wanted to say congrats to the bunch of you who've been admitted semi-recently.
Who's all joining me for the ASD in 2 weeks??

I agree. But I guess that's a good thing for those of us who are waiting, since we are sure to hear something by April, right?goosey wrote:is it just me or is march flying by

it suddenly dawned upon me that I'm probably missing the seat deposit deadlines for some schools.

edit to say they didn't give me a deadline for when i have to accept my scholarship, so i just assume it's the seat deposit deadline.

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
georgetown's isn't until may 3rd, but instead of a seat deposit you can just sign something that you will withdraw all your other apps and attend georgetown. that means withdrawing my columbia WL appsibley wrote:I think that's when they are for most schools...but w&l (I think it was) was earlier. they extended it to then.Kim617 wrote:nevermind, just found it, it's april 15th. good to know.

NYC ladies -- free manis at 4 different salons in the city today (590 Columbus Ave, 149 3rd Ave, 126 University Place, or 301 6th Ave). It's a promo for Kirstie Alley's new show...you have to get the specific color but its great (dark purple). I know it's gross out but if you need a mani it's hard to pass up a free one

What's the best way to get from JFK into Manhattan? I went on HopStop but they have me both spending a fortune and taking forever. On nysubway.com/airport/jfk.html it says I can take Long Island Rail Road to Penn Station in like 40 minutes. Does anyone know if that actually works?

More or less. depends if you catch the express into penn station , then itll be like 25 minutes. It should only cost you 6 bucks as opposed to the 50 + taxi ridesibley wrote:yay =) looks like it'll be great. cheaper, faster, everything! does it really only take like 40 minutes that way?chicoalto0649 wrote:Yes.
