Nothing new to add. Just, SLS Admissions Office >>>>> CLS Admissions Office. Didn't appreciate how great Stanford's was until I had Columbia's for comparison.
Still no response by email. I feel something not-so-fantastic is on its way to my mailbox. April 21 batch.

Re: Columbia 2010
I think there was another batch of WL/dings released on the 21st. When I emailed the admissions office, they mentioned that my letter had been sent out with that postmark.
I wasn't held, though.

At least CLS gives out holds and let you know around when to expect a decision. Stanford didn't give me a peep until rejecting me 5 months later.Saya wrote:Nothing new to add. And we have seen evidence of how fantastic these holds are.Jericwithers wrote:At least CLS gives out holds and let you know around when to expect a decision. It helps to lower expectations. 5 months of silence does weird things to a person's mind.Saya wrote:And we have seen evidence of how fantastic these holds are.Jericwithers wrote:At least CLS gives out holds and let you know around when to expect a decision. Hold----> Reserve. Got the letter today. Already decided on Stanford, but by the time was ready to withdraw it was April 21st, so I figure I might as well wait for the letter. I was held a little over a month ago btw. Good luck to everyone sticking it out til the bitter end!

Deferred and still silence even after an e-mail begging for a PDF update since I'm abroad. This coupled with the fact that the company I work for just went belly up and everyone was let go is really making me think a ding is in the mail. When it rains it pours.

Do you know if CLS admissions office prefers LOCIs by email or snail mail.
Also which do you all think is better to do.

I think it's a little late for a LOCI to be honest.lawyerlover wrote:Do you know if CLS admissions office prefers LOCIs by email or snail mail.

Is there anyone else still standing? I have a feeling I'm not going to love what I find in my mailbox when I get home this afternoon.

Me! But they had a 3/21 mail batch so I'm expecting some unpleasantness when I check too.neimanmarxist wrote:Is there anyone else still standing? I have a feeling I'm not going to love what I find in my mailbox when I get home this afternoon.

I'm here. Late applicant, no word since going complete March 1. Live in NYC, should get any correspondence they send out within a day or two.PoorOrpheus wrote:Me! I'm not left standing anymore, I got 3 letters from New York schools today lol. Reserved at Columbia
, but at least it is better than a rejection. I pulled off the CCN waitlist trifecta!
EDIT: Letter arrived in Austin, I was a decision by 4/21 hold.

Yup, not a single reach school accepted me. Their lost though. I just wonder what California has against me as only schools in that state rejected me$1.99 wrote:damn, thats worst than me man lolJericwithers wrote:I'm not left standing anymore, I got 3 letters from New York schools today lol. Regular decision hold, WL today, letter postmarked 4/21
ETA: Are we all put on first reserve at this point? Or are there different tiers?

Re: Columbia 2010
My understanding is that there are no more "tiers". Everybody is on 1st reserve until the end of next month, when there will be another round of waitlists and rejections. Then everybody's on 2nd reserve.

Re: Columbia 2010
to be frank it doesn't matter, a reserve is a rejection unless you are lucky enough to win the lottery
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
