Update on admits: There were 257 at ASW, but there's another ASW in April.
The Facebook group has 397 members, but I know of at least two who aren't in the group.

Think about it as 450/850 total admits, it will seem less depressingaz21833 wrote:wow, probably 450 admits already then for a class of 500?edamame wrote:Update on admits: There were 257 at ASW, but there's another ASW in April.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
thanks bagelboy for the kind words and i will certainly keep this in mind. The held thread has more statistics on this though (check Maxim's post) but historically there has been virtually no movement prior to May - at that time almost all helds get moved over to the waitlist and about 20% of those get accepted, although more heavily weighted towards URM. These are pretty good chances overall but for personal reasons, unfortunately, riding waitlists is not an option for me this year (contrary to earlier posts) so any hopes of attending HLS are rather farfetched at this point. Thats fine though, im looking forward to the cali sun, in-n-out burgers, hyphy music, off the wall startups... and all that stuffjbagelboy wrote:Az, I'm going to be honest bro -- you are overly engaged and pessemistic about your harvard app when it comes to the hold. Your bitterness about it is very understandable, but if I had to put money on it, I would say you will be in at hls by may. People are admitted post js1 after their app is held for further review. I really dont see your situation as anywhere near as dire as you present it each day ( stanford admit aside..) and I bet your interview wasnt nearly as bad as you say either; you are clearly extremely bright and accomplished. so perk up! and remember some people are actually thrilled about their app receiving further considerationaz21833 wrote:
+1. you absolutely want to do eveyrthing you can to avoid the held label. black hole.

I appreciate it az, but I'm thankfully out of post-JS1 purgatory. The only rooting I need this afternoon is for my oil change to be quick and cheap

I live like two miles away from HLS, so if I get a JS1 it will be weird skyping with someone in an office that I could literally walk to. For some reason I think about this often.

...I also live like two miles from the law school. Davis Square. I found myself in that exact position and cracked a pretty good joke about it to KB.
