That's true, definitely a possibility for a lot of people.drawstring wrote:My JS1 was over a month before yours, but I'm still optimistic that I'll be de facto held but get in without being waitlisted.

I don't think the calls were all that late. It's hard to say exactly, of course. I feel like they were done by 8 though.drawstring wrote:And congrats to the new admits (especially Mort) !

I wonder what impact moving the deadline back will have though. If they don't start re-reading until they've gone through all the apps, mid-April (when they promise to get decisions out by) may come before people who would've been held in the past got in.

Wow, congrats to the JS2s people! Stay around and keep us lowly waiting folks some company!
I had an early January JS1, so I am hoping this wave continues through tomorrow. Waiting until April would be pretty rough.
ETA: meaning, I hope that there are some decisions soon including the later JS1s, and we aren't lumped in with the mid-late January. I want my decision now!

First, Congratz to all the new admits... especially you Mort. I haven't commented at you but I have been admiring from afar... not in a creepy way or anything... although I was naked.
Anyways I'm starting to really worry that I won't get a JS1 and that depressing bc I thought my numbers would at least warrant that.
I have been complete since 12/16 somebody please tell me if I can give up hope yet.

Congrats to all the new admits!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a mid December JS1, and I still haven't heard anything. Starting to worry now :/ How often do they do two days of JS2s in a row? Does this mean I should expect to be in this for the long haul now?

HLS 2017 Facebook page still only has 253 members compared to the 644 members that the 2016 page STILL has.

Are they sending out JS1s at this time?
Complete since 1/13 and no JS1, which made me worried because someone with a complete date of 1/16 already got one...

Do we have reason to believe that mid- or late-Jan JS1s won't hear back until April?pseu wrote:Wow, congrats to the JS2s people! Stay around and keep us lowly waiting folks some company!

Sorry for the delayed post, but I got a JS2 last night as well!!! Got the call around 8pm EST... I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw I was getting a call from Cambridge. I've been waiting since October to finally hear back from one of my top choices, so ecstatic my first answer was from Harvard!

Congrats to the new admits!
Inspired by the graphs scoobers has made for some other schools, I put together some graphs based on data from the HLS spreadsheet. Thought it was sort of interesting to visualize what (the TLS portion of) the applicant and admit pools are looking like: http://imgur.com/a/1TOgl
(sorry for the link, can't directly post pics yet!)
