What are things looking like for late Jan/early Feb completes? Didn't get a JS1 invite and didn't get held.

we will get waitlisted in late april. rejected at some point in the summer if you don't drop off first. but we will have a damn fun time doing so - come to the held threadohpobrecito wrote:I'm sure this has been addressed many times--I've never really paid attention to "hold" talk because I assumed I would be super auto dinged--but is there a typical wait time between being held and receiving a JS1 or rejection?

Does H just let folks linger on their waitlist until August, or are cuts made proactively throughout the summer (like Columbia)?az21833 wrote:we will get waitlisted in late april. rejected throughout the summer depending on your pain tolerance.ohpobrecito wrote:I'm sure this has been addressed many times--I've never really paid attention to "hold" talk because I assumed I would be super auto dinged--but is there a typical wait time between being held and receiving a JS1 or rejection?
Also, I have been avoiding this thread like the plague, figuring that I was basically an all-out, no-hold ding... but I was held today. So, hi. I'll stop lurking now

Negative. JS2s usually occur after four, before six. Sooo....

Quick question and apologies if it has already been answered in this thread. I wanted to know if a loci would be advisable at this point? I did an interview last month, but I have not heard anything since then- no hold email nor a ding. I was leaning against sending one since I guess I am technically still under review.

I wont answer because I don't know, but I'll just point this out:bosmer88 wrote:Quick question and apologies if it has already been answered in this thread. If they are truly off next week for spring break see if you dont get some indication before then and then make your decision.

True, I forgot about spring break. I guess I would have my answer then. Thanks.wert3813 wrote:I wont answer because I don't know, but I'll just point this out:bosmer88 wrote:Quick question and apologies if it has already been answered in this thread. I don't know either, but since when has that ever stopped a TLSer from sharing an opinion?

I might hold off if I were you, so as to avoid blowing my LOCI wad prematurely, so to speak. Let's say you use all your best LOCI material now and then you get a hold email? What then? It would be the perfect time for an LOCI, but you'll be SOL and unable to send a convincing LOCI when it might actually do you some good. If I were you, I would chill and let it come to me.

Do we know of any post-JS1 holds getting a JS2?

First post here. Sorry for lack of TLS speak and acronyms.
Application went complete late January but no word since. Anyone else on a similar schedule? When should I expect to hear?

Complete mid-January no word since. My sense is it's not a good sign because people who went complete around the same time have already gotten in, but not terrible because people in the same time frame have also been rejected or held.pnyexpress wrote:First post here. This is also my first post. In a similar situation. Application went complete 1/17 and nothing since then.pnyexpress wrote:First post here. Sorry for lack of TLS speak and acronyms.
