2/3-->2/7--> 2/22... i should be an auto rejection, so why are they rejecting people who have better stats than me beforehand?

Reg'lur waitlist. Will take all of one hour to write and mail a LOCI, and zero effort to stay on the list, so might as well.

I was 2/22, but updated 3/8, with no word either way. It was at least my third complete date.Zabini wrote:Another 2/22 here, didn't update today tho.

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
So, I received an email today. I am admitted off of the special group preferred waitlist. I was able to generate a password on the admitted students website but then when I went to log in it wouldn't let me. Has anyone else had this problem?

Congrats! When were you put on the waitlist if you don't mind my asking..clearfire wrote:So, I received an email today. I am admitted off of the special group preferred waitlist. Good news that they've started dipping in to it before April, right?
ETA: Sorry I didn't really answer your question, but since it's the waiting thread this may be the wrong place to ask. I'd try here or here.

It takes a few days for your password to start working. You should be able to log in by Monday.clearfire wrote:So, I received an email today. Thanks for the response, I'll check those out.
I applied in late January, received the waitlist email February 28th.

How long to they give you to decide whether to accept an offer of admission ? Do they give you until May?clearfire wrote:So, I received an email today. Received around $28,000/year of need-based grants from Georgetown via email right now -- no word of a merit-scholarship though.

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
FYI--merit is not in addition to need. A merit-based scholarship notification tells you that the award "includes all need-based grants." So basically, in order for that number to go up, you'd have to get more than $28,000/yr in merit-based aid (probably not going to happen, given that GULC doesn't give out a ton of merit aid).dpk711 wrote:Received around $28,000/year of need-based grants from Georgetown via email right now -- no word of a merit-scholarship though.

gotcha, thanks for the heads-up, $28,000 is still substantial though, right?c_dubya_s wrote:FYI--merit is not in addition to need.
