You should have received a "thank you for submitting your answer" kind of page. I would email them AND call them to let them know of the glitch and to confirm your answer to the WL.

So their FAQ page says no interviews...but does anyone know if they will chat with waitlisted (wait listed) applicants if someone visits?

they will not.

To the person asking why people are upset, for many this is their dream school. To not even get a response by the time most schools deposit deadlines have passed is ridiculous. Imagine you are not wealthy, holding out hope for NYU and it is April 26. Your choice is to deposit and waste a bunch of money and hold out hope, or withdraw. It is a bad situation.

Also, a lot of people paid $100 or so to apply. I don't think it is too much to ask to get some good customer service for that $100. It isn't a privilege to apply, it is a transaction.
