Sent 1/20, received 1/25. Didn't realize I had a fee waiver till later when I was wondering if I should have applied there...

I've decided to do the opposite of thought-dicking for everyone who got accepted today. So even though I'll say things like FUCK YOU CAMPY, i really have warm proud fuzzies in my heart that y'all got in.

I call it: thought-hugging.

Been complete since mid-November. 99.9% sure of a wait list at this point, having survived the first several rounds of rejections but still without an offer yet. Did get the email back in January. It's agonizing! Would very much like an acceptance.

Is it really beneficial to schedule a trip to Ann Arbor to show the add. com. how interested you truly are? Can anyone speak to this?

Edit: Congrats to all the recent acceptances, by the way! Hearing that some other students who applied early and thought a WL was coming got in gives me hope!

I'm in the exact same situation, but I've been complete since October. It seems a waitlist is inevitable. I sent in a LOCI in January after the email... is there anything else I can do?

Would love to visit Ann Arbor if I was closer, but this isn't really a possibility for me.

Apologize if this has been answered, but when you get a status checker and you are at Complete, does it mean that they have begun reviewing your application or are do they just have everything ready to review?

As per the little explanation on the Michigan status check page: "Complete: Your application is currently being reviewed"

It means nothing, it means everything. The compete is all, and it is nothing.

Not at all. I visited UVA while on the waitlist and decided it wasn't for me. Hopefully, you have the opposite reaction and write an awesome LOCI as a result.

Good idea, JoeMo. I did something similar--updated my Why Mich after a visit. Got in, and there was a nice note about my meeting with admissions on the letter.

To be honest, I'm not even sure where the admissions office is within the law quad...

Um, visit and talk to them? Ask them your LOCI questions, chat about UMich...don't go and give an awkward speech. Haha.
