I really, really hope I get in. I'm even still scheduled to retake the LSAT in June to try for a 180 if I'm waitlisted, but I really hope it doesn't come to that.
I'm rooting for you as well
However, if it comes down to me or you, I except we will settle this like gentlemen.

a) It sucks.
b) Why am I not in? Numbers in profile, slightly fudged. I also think that I have some interesting work experience.
c) Peter North is a wimp compared to me, seriously, watch some of my flicks.
Are you an international applicant?
Still a little scary that you've been held with your numbers. When you say "fudged" do you mean optimistically or pessimistically?

You still haven't said "Law Ѕchool", are we talking about Hаrvard Business School?
I need context here!

Congrats, that's awesome. Is the upcoming ASW the final one? If so, I wonder if the remaning JR2s (if they exist at all) will come soon so as to allow folks to go. Probably doesn't make a ton of sense because a lot of folks wouldn't be able to go on short notice, but I still wonder.

well played
but seriously, forgive me too for being hesitant to believe someone who claims on April fools day to have gotten a JR1 with 3.6/166

I think if a 3.6/166 got into Berkeley, there is definitely something special about their app, so I'd buy him/her receiving a JR1.

quite a snotty thing to say, but that's ok you don't have to believe me. I have said from the beginning that I've pinned my hopes on my softs...
edit: not everyone's life revolves around april fools day.

dude, it's not snotty, it's just grounded entirely in reality. a 3.6/166 non-URM admit is entirely the exception to the rule. being that far below both 25ths puts you squarely in auto reject territory. if you buck that and get in, pretty extraordinary and more power to you, but it's hardly snotty to point out that it's that much of an uphill battle for you.
coupled with the context (April fools), it makes sense to be a little skeptical. so I apologize if my "snotty" remark seemed unwarranted to you

Shoot. I'm the other <25% hopeful on hold.... If she gets the spot, I'm certainly tanked.

Thanks for the support, people. I understand why it seems ludicrous for me to retake the LSAT, but I have plenty of reasons to do it and no major reasons not to so I don't want to drag this thread into an argument about it. If I get into my dream school, I won't take the LSAT though.

post-workout I'm more optimistic -- we could both get in! H can absorb the #s hit, that's for sure.

Peter North wrote:Ok, guys. The word from the HLS admissions office is... that the vast majority of rejections have already been sent out.
So if you still haven't been dinged and are awaiting to hear from HLS, there is a strong likelihood that you will get an acceptance. Your chances are even better after the next HLS ASW and when the deposit payment date has expired.
Good luck, gunners!
