Anybody going to the open house on the 27th? Does anyone know how cold it will be? I do not own a decent coat, I live in Florida

I'll be going. Since I'm not a meteorologist, I can't give you an accurate prediction. However, I can tell you that I live in Washington, DC and that it has snowed 30 inches in the last three days. And apparently it's going to snow again tomorrow night. I've lived in this area for most of my life, and February is pretty miserable. Bring some warm clothes.

Has anyone DM 2/5 gotten call? I'm pretty sure I am getting rejected/wL but there is a small glimmer of hope because of the awful weather here in the NoVA/DC/MD area that they may have not been in the office enough to get the calls out? Any insight from anyone?

Keep in mind that all this snow means that the admissions offices have been closed. So, they're a little behind most likely.

never mind. for some reason I never received a confirmation e-mail when they got my application. Should I be worried?

Word on the street is that they are significantly cutting back their PT program this year. 30 students or something of the sort?

Going to be interesting to see the effect that that has on the rankings next year.

I'm in PT - does anyone know if they really are decreasing the size of the PT program? Do you think this will enhance their ranking?

Um, wanted to, but sitting in 70 deg and sunny at the moment here in CA, watching them battle blizzards, kind of think the April one is sounding more likely

Especially ironic when i am watching "Day after tomorrow" as the snow pours down.

Thats gonna be your question #1 when you visit.

As i said before, GMU tanked only because Chapman ditch some stellar faculty away from them so I don't think shrinking the PT would really boost their ranking.

I was surprised at how amazingly quick and efficient GMU was at dinging me.

Kind of validates my feelings about how a good school operates.

How quick was the ding? I guess you're a lucky one. Last year, i applied 10/28/08 and did not receive the rejection until March 2009, almost drove me to the edge of insanity. At least you get to keep yours.

I applied Xmas day, got dinged like Jan 20 or something around there.
