I've always wondered who the NYU TLS'ers are. Just to clarify, I don't think we're in the same section. But I could be wrong since I don't know who you are. Nice to meet you, anyhow.

Well you're certainly in my conlaw class but I suppose it is possible you have Friday crim as well which was cancelled due to the snow. Does the name Harry First ring any bells?

We do have similar schedules, but different admin profs. Still, that's trivial since we are in the same conlaw class.

I would like to know how the ASW went for those who attended. What were your impressions of the event? (Was it well-organized, informative, and how did your future classmates strike you?) I would also like to know which other schools you are considering. Thanks!

I went to the ASW this past week and they said that they will start sending out financial aid packages in approximately 2 weeks if you filled out your financial aid application early enough.

I went to the ASW this past week and they said that they will start sending out financial aid packages in approximately 2 weeks if you filled out your financial aid application early enough.

Thanks for that info. I was also at ASW, but apparently missed whenever that was said.

Got an email this afternoon telling me I was NOT selected as a finalist for the law scholars program to which I applied. Two can play that game, NYU. I will withdraw this week.

Is this normal? Do they generally let people know that they are not selected? I would just assume that no news is how they deliver this type of bad news...

Yeah seemed weird to me too, but I'm glad they did it. This way I know.

I also got this e-mail. Which is strange. Because I never applied to a scholarship program.

It reminds me of this one time in college when a girl in my dorm sat me down and told me that she didn't want to go out with me. Which was strange. Because I hadn't ever interacted with her much and found here a bit obnoxious and more than slightly unattractive.

I got the email too. A little bummed, but I'm glad they gave me a definitive answer. Although it was strange that they mentioned I wasn't a "finalist," seeing as I didn't apply for any of the scholarships that have final round interviews (e.g. RTK). I just hope the financial aid office comes through for me later this month.

Got mine too -- not nearly as excited about my scholarship (it's much lower than my offers from Michigan and Chicago), especially considering the new deposit deadline.
