This has not proven to be the case thus far this cycle, at least as far as other schools go.
what makes you say this? other than auto-admits (who are recession-proof) do you know of any borderline or splitter that got in this cycle which makes you think this?
cornell is different as each school is... We still don't know who has been accepted yet, or how their app pool is this year compared to last. I don't know. It's just a theory

A 172, 2.7 URM got into UVA RD. That's about as big a splitter as you can get.

URM=different totally. A 172 is really hard to get on the LSAT if your a URM. He's like one of hte only 25 aa's to get that score. So of course it's a good thing. But that's not representative of the app pool.

URM is usually an outlier so doesn't count

I don't actually watch Southpark that much, but I was told that people read my posts in Butter's voice so I changed my tar.

Would you choose BU over all the T14's? You have very nice stats, but your avatar... or is that your UG institution?

Hey my stats are okay. I haven't gotten into BU, I put it up because I got an early e-mail. But, I wouldn't necessarily choose BU over T14's, just wanted to impress adcomm's if they were surfing TLS =).

I'm still EA Complete (since 10/7) as well, so maybe their setting us aside for a reason. Some people are already marked "Decision rendered" and are set to be notified soon.

It might be a good thing that we haven't been tagged "Decision" yet, particularly re: scholarships. Who knows really. All I know is I selected No for EA, then Cornell contacted me to ask if I wanted to be EA. I'm a splitter, got the grades but not the lsat score. I can only hope all of this means something promising, like getting accepted!

I can get behind that, but I would at least like to go complete/have regular access to a working status checker though!

They asked everyone who sent their app in before the EA deadline if they wanted to be considered for EA, even if you checked "no" on the EA box. This happened to me as well.
On another note, I do think being at "decision" now is a bad thing. We've seen no one get accepted and at least 2 (3?) people get deferred. 2 (or 3) is a trend.

I think it's a mix. Also most of those def. got DR on the 11/20 and not the 24th.
