Received app is complete email on Nov 10. Just checked My Columbia Law account and I still get the following message. Anyone else in similar boat? If not I'll shoot them an email later:
" We cannot check the status of your application for admission because the information you provided does not match any records in our database.
In order for us to successfully check your application status, your first and last names, LSAC Account Number, and date of birth must exactly match the information you provided on your application for admission.
Please go back to the previous page and ensure that the information you provided is exactly what you submitted on your application for admission.
Please note that it takes up to two weeks for new application submissions to be processed and entered into our database. If you recently submitted an application for admission, please try again after at least two weeks have passed.
Please contact the Office of Admissions if you continue to have difficulty with checking your application status."

I'd recommend contacting the Office of Admissions on that one.Youusedto wrote:Received app is complete email on Nov 10. Just checked My Columbia Law account and I still get the following message. Anyone else in similar boat? If not I'll shoot them an email later:

Hey guys, I submitted my application a couple of days ago without a supplementary statement..What's the protocol for submitting them as a type of letter of continued interest after submission? I don't really come from an especially adverse background so I'm not sure how I would even approach their prompt...Should I just hold off and maybe wait for a LoCI if i get waitlisted? Thanks.

This might've been discussed already-- but historically for ED applicants, when is the latest people heard back? I get "by December" means literally until the end of December, but I was wondering if generally people heard back before Christmas...I applied in mid October and have been fidgeting ever since. Thank you!!

Hi there classmate. I know it's almost unlikely, but is there a slight chance of getting scholarship? Also in via ED.nahmjun wrote:I was admitted ED on Nov 16th without an interviewzty wrote:I think it is neither a necessary condition nor a sufficient condition.lebongenre wrote:earthabides wrote:does columbia interview all admits?
Also curious about this. Congrats to those invited to interview!

You can get a need based scholarship from ED, it just won't take the merit factors into account.

Is there a chance to get pretty good amounts of need based aid, or is it always quite small compared to merit scholarships?jbagelboy wrote:There's a whole application you complete in the spring.Perseus1994 wrote:So, how do they determine how much I need?jbagelboy wrote:You can get a need based scholarship from ED, it just won't take the merit factors into account.

Re: Columbia C/O 2019 Applicants - 2015 - 2016
Each year there are applicants with otherwise relatively unimpressive numbers that receive large scholarships attributed to need, including some EDers. But these are truly cases of strong need: typically older students with no resources, low income over several years, some college debt, and parents that don't own their homes and make less than $80k a year. If your parents own their home*, you made a lot of money since college, or your parents make over six figures and you're less than 28 years old, you won't see much in the way of need based aid from CLS.Generally wrote:Is there a chance to get pretty good amounts of need based aid, or is it always quite small compared to merit scholarships?jbagelboy wrote:There's a whole application you complete in the spring.Perseus1994 wrote:So, how do they determine how much I need?jbagelboy wrote:You can get a need based scholarship from ED, it just won't take the merit factors into account.

*assuming its not underwater and retains significant equity value

Would they care what your parents made if you are 28?jbagelboy wrote:Each year there are applicants with otherwise relatively unimpressive numbers that receive large scholarships attributed to need, including some EDers.
