I don't think they're messing with us, I think they're trying to come off as more likable/relate-able.benwyatt wrote:I have to say that I love Michigan's tweets, even if it's clear they're just messing with us.

That's probably because the Harvard Admissions office called them and told them they have dibs on you!Hildegard15 wrote:They give me so many reasons to love them, and yet, still no sign that they love me backbenwyatt wrote:I have to say that I love Michigan's tweets, even if it's clear they're just messing with us.

Re: Michigan Law School C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-16)
I took a risk and wrote my Why Michigan (the only Why essay I wrote out of 13 apps) about how much I love their voice in emails and tweets and such. I said it shows that, unlike other law schools, Michigan actually has a personality and sense of humor. Hopefully they like my credentials enough to be amused—and not offended—by my attempt at a clever essay.benwyatt wrote:I have to say that I love Michigan's tweets, even if it's clear they're just messing with us.

Fellow Michigan lovers, I need your advice!
I have my application ready to be sent it, LSAT score, PS, and supplemental essays are all set. The only thing is, my other recommender hasn't sent in his LOR yet. I have one in, and I know they technically only require one, but they do recommend three. Should I go ahead and submit with just the one letter now, and send the other letter when it arrives (he said it'd be done by thanksgiving)? I reaalllyyy want to be a contender for the Darrow, so I don't want to submit to late.

Don't count on it; besides those submitted in October/November, UM says they've made a 'first pass,' similar to how UVA has considerably slowed.benwyatt wrote:Michigan really cracked me up today![]()

Agreed. No way the "first pass" is this small.benwyatt wrote:I appreciate your response but I am doubtful that you actually know what you're talking about.L.S.Insider wrote:Don't count on it; besides those submitted in October/November, UM says they've made a 'first pass,' similar to how UVA has considerably slowed.benwyatt wrote:Michigan really cracked me up today![]()

Not Spivey-level, certainly. I've been around the scene a long time. I could provide "proof" in some context to the mods of the boards, though I'd prefer not to. There's a reason I showed up now as opposed to September 1...Generally wrote:Who are you?L.S.Insider wrote:Don't count on it; besides those submitted in October/November, UM says they've made a 'first pass,' similar to how UVA has considerably slowed.benwyatt wrote:Michigan really cracked me up today![]()
