OH it took me forever to figure out what he was talking about, blame it on the stress that UF is putting us through. On so many levels that is pretty funny.lordofducks wrote:Oh. Does anyone have any info on these two places? Im going up this weekend to sign my lease on an apartment in one of these two neighborhoods:

I lived at cabana beach during my first year in UG at UF. It was alright. The only thing is to pick your poison do you want to live far from the bus stop or the trash. The dumpster is in the back while the bus stop is in the front. As far as the bus itll take 20mins to get home. Also when I was there the management was ok, but I never needed them. The place was quiet but they did have a few burglaries, but that happens a lot in that strip of apartments.aherm006 wrote:Does anyone have any info on these two places? I'm not really sure about the pavilion, I know cabana beach is a party complex... But it is gainesville... I live in the woodlands... Rent is a bit high... Probably going to move down off south 34th to like the polos or rent a condo... I don't mind driving further to get nicer for cheaper and in gainesville the buses go everywhere so it's not too bad...rubberplant2020 wrote:I lived at cabana beach during my first year in UG at UF. I live at Cabana Beach right now. There are actually 3 bus stops in the complex so you'll always be close to one. Also both the 21 and 20 buses are available which is convenient. It's considered farther than most other places but personally I never really felt that way. The Pavillion is across the intersection so they are pretty much the same distance from UF.

Do you feel like its more for undergrads. I enjoy partying just as much as anyone but Im not sure I want to be dealing with that when finals roll around.

It's impossible to know about every complex in town but the general rule is that any apartment complex that offers individual leases (you rent 1 room in a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment) or is furnished is mostly undergrads.aherm006 wrote:chucktheduck wrote:I live at Cabana Beach right now. Was in Comp Review since 3/25, date changed to 4/21 within the last few hours. So hopefully will have some answers here real soon, good or bad. Very much am expecting a wait list or rejection as my Lsat isn't great.

Well good luck. My last is around the median and GPA is below 25%. I don't like my own chances.

Same here. Date just changed to 4/21 but nothing else changed. Been in comp review since 3/5. LSAT is the 25th percentile and gpa is right below 50th percentile. No idea what it means

I also updated today. I had been in Comp Review since 3/6. Still in Comp Review, but date is updated to 4/21. I'm guessing that means they took it off the pile to look at it. Hopefully good news follows. Good luck to all others waiting also...

Its so frustrating! No change here at all. Still in comp review since 3/6. LSAT below 25th percentile, GPA well above 75th percentile. Still expecting a denial but I just want to know!
