UCLA is also my alma mater
I bet that you'll get in if you stick around
edit: then again, those are historically perfect berkeley numbers, so that's probably what they're afraid of

Waitlisted today(submitted 2 months ago), so there's still some movement out there.

If and when I get more T14 scholarship offers (which may be quite low or quite few), I'll probably try to negotiate with UCLA. But seeing as I'm already offered 120k and I'm in-state, I feel sort of guilty for trying to improve on my fantastic 5k yearly tuition situation.
I wonder if they would look down on me for it, given my circumstances.

I got waitlisted early in my cycle with a 173 and a 4.0. Also just graduated from UCLA in December.
I'm pretty convinced I got waitlisted but would actually be really interested in going with a scholarship.
Has anyone heard of someone getting a scholarship after being accepted off the waitlisted?

That's obviously yield protection. I would call them or write them a letter telling them that you truly are interested in going there if the price is right. Or perhaps there's a more established way to go about this, and I'm wrong. Either way, I can't speak to post-waitlist scholarships, but I have the same LSAT with a much lower GPA, and it makes no sense that you would get less money than me.drballison wrote:I got waitlisted early in my cycle with a 173 and a 4.0. Though, if I were you, I'd be looking harder at Stanford and Berkeley.

I sent them a very nice email expressing my interest in UCLA and asking if I could come in to the admissions office and...they basically told me I should hold off on my efforts until May. MAY! Seriously, UCLA?
Thanks for the advice though! I'm in at Boalt and know I have awesome options, but UCLA would be great for family/geographic reasons.

After April they'll have a much better understanding of who is and who isn't committing to attending their school. I'm sure a lot of the big scholarships currently offered will disappear as the stellar recipients matriculate elsewhere. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I was wondering if any admits on the East Coast could share when they got their call? Just wondering if I should bother watching my phone til 8 pm due to time difference.

Been reading for a while, but first time posting. Hello, all!
I've only seen one Epstein Program acceptance. Any others?
