Has anyone who applied for the Rothman received aid info?
Wondering if this has something to do with it. Doubt they'd send aid packages to anyone still in the running.

I'm wondering if getting the email is linked to the date you were admitted.

Just got my email with the information. In my email, it said I was still under review for Rothman Scholarship, and if I receive that it will replace my current offer.

When you say 120,000 you mean over 3 years right? so 40/year?HalfStudent wrote:Has anyone gotten more than 120,000?? According to LSN that's the highest so far.. 171 with a 3.68, 170 with a 3.7 got 120,000.. I would have thought they would get 150,000 to even consider USC..

Received scholarship info today. $105,000, and I'm still in contention for the Rothman! Very happy to see this.

Just received mine as well. +$120,000 so guess that isn't the ceiling ppl thought it was. PM for amount.
The letter stated that, to reserve the scholarship, you have to complete an acceptance form which is due by April 15th.
Would submitting this form mean forfeiting room for negotiations? I kind of read the req as a semi-sneaky way to lock ppl out of negotiations.
And yes, I realize they specifically state that "This award... represents what we believe to be our best scholarship offer," but come on: doesn't everyone say this?

Glad to hear there are people getting more money than I was offered because that means I was justified in not applying for that Rothman I wasn't going to win

I got 120k too (& still in consideration for Rothman, but realistically I know that's not happening lol). Did not submit FAFSA yet. Over the 75th for GPA and LSAT, and got more money from a higher ranked school, so I'm a little disappointed. Is USC open to negotiating/matching other offers?

For those who received the scholarship email, did you already submit your FAFSA? Wondering if this affects timing.

Surprised about my number: 45k a year for 135k total. People with better stats here got less than me.
I'm not going to go to USC, but would it even be worth it to use this number for negotiating with east coast schools?

Depends on the school. I don't think it would hurt, esp non T14 onesDCfilterDC wrote:Surprised about my number: 45k a year for 135k total. People with better stats here got less than me.

Yeah that's what I figured, but I was more hoping that I could use it for, say, Duke or Michigan, but I just don't think they'll bite.p89sean16 wrote:Depends on the school. I feel like it's the type of offer that may move you from, say, 10k a year at either of those to 15k or so, but that's just what I think. I don't think they would come close to matching but maybe make it a bit more affordable. Either way, nothing to lose by asking, esp since its a solid number from uscDCfilterDC wrote:Yeah that's what I figured, but I was more hoping that I could use it for, say, Duke or Michigan, but I just don't think they'll bite.p89sean16 wrote:Depends on the school.
