Damn, rejected with a 3.59/168. That's surprising that they didn't even waitlist me when I figured I'd be a guaranteed acceptance. Oh well, there was pretty much 0% chance of me attending anyway, though I was hoping to use them for negotiation purposes.

You may be right. I didn't interview there even though I was given the chance because I figured it wouldn't impact my application significantly one way or another. I'm more surprised than disappointed to be honest. I wish everybody still in contention the best of luck.

Surprised as well. Above median LSAT with above 25th GPA almost always gets at least a WL. Not doing the interview could have hurt you. Any C&F issues? That rejection isn't solely based on your numbers.

Hey, you never know. My numbers are 166 and 3.45 and I got waitlisted through snailmail yesterday, there's still a chance so it's not so bad.

Also relevant:

I think it's hard for people to really believe that a school is being truly holistic and precise, but I hope people take it to heart and overview their application in a holistic sense and not just count on their numbers for UVA Vanderbilt. That goes for post waitlist efforts for admission offers as well.

This is a great approach for applying to law school in general. If you're actually paying money to submit an application, don't give them any reason to ding you.

I got in with the exact same numbers less than three days after I submitted my app, with no "Why Vandy" or any type of personalization. Just do the interview, and you should be (blackened and) golden.

Congrats to the recent admits! As I stated in the W&M thread, I don't want to start a debate...but how much would you guys be willing to pay for Vandy? I'm curious to hear what the applicants/students have to say as opposed to the general TLS crowd. Given that Vandy is probably the best school I'll have on the table, I keep telling myself that $100k-ish would be reasonable. Anyone else?
