Congrats-back-at-ya!alex.cm wrote:Congrats!! I take it you got the email about the admitted students website today, too? I've been wasting way too much time at work on it so far today. I'll probably go to the March ASW, although I'm going to play it by ear a bit, as I'll have to take off work and I'm already going to be missing some in February. Also, it looks like I'm a spring/summer admit, and (assuming I accept my admissions offer) my boss is going to have a panic attack when I tell her I'm leaving a few months earlier than expected.Power_of_Facing wrote:Lawolverines!
So I was just accepted, and I'm pretty pumped about it.
Just wanted to stop by, check in, and see if any of you all are planning to attend either ASW.
Also, has anyone asked for a travel stipend?? For me to come to ASW it will be well over $500 for a plane ticket, which might be more than I can afford at the moment. I really want to attend -- the morning jog tour sounds like it'd be up my alley.
Congrats to the other admits and good luck to everyone still waiting for completion/a decision.
I, too, am planning on attending the March ASW (if I can swing it). Have you been able to view the registration pages? They seem to be referenced in the promo materials, but I can't seem to find the link. Egad!
But yeah, now I need to do some actual work!

I don't see the link anywhere, and, knowing Michigan, it very easily could just not be available yet. I'm going to be in the admission offices tomorrow, though, so I'll ask when registration will open and report back!Power_of_Facing wrote:Congrats-back-at-ya!alex.cm wrote:Congrats!! Question:
Do you think if you sent in the why michigan essay later than the rest of your application, it delays when you hear back?

Make sure when you're in admissions to tell Dean Z or Joe that you will only attend if they let me inalex.cm wrote: I don't see the link anywhere, and, knowing Michigan, it very easily could just not be available yet. Plan B: I'll distract them while you find his file and put it in the admit pile. That's also cool, right?

Oh silly, Michigan doesn't just say "admit." Apparently they leave a sweet little love note, so let's hope to see that in the morningjk148706 wrote:I could reeeally use an "admit" tomorrow morning. Would be ready to put down the seat deposit haha.

Well your status checker will update tomorrow with whatever happens today (if anything), so technically yes.drybowser92 wrote:any chance of ED responses tomorrow? or should I resign myself to waiting another week?

Yes there is a chance, however, I would be surprised since it seems that people who applied mid-late October are getting decisions right now. Personally I'm not going to worry until next week. But I would LOOOOVE an admit tomorrow. I'd drink so much wine at Thanksgiving dinner

I honestly don't know if it makes a difference, but they are definitely working today. The University itself closes at 5pm, and I know the law school is open and active today (I popped over there to see a friend). It seems very plausible that they could make more decisions, input them into the system today, and the status check would update with them tomorrow. Or not. I don't actually have any inside information, but I wouldn't brush off thanksgiving quite yet.scotth724 wrote:It'd be amazing if it was tomorrow.ProbsNStats wrote:Yes there is a chance, however, I would be surprised since it seems that people who applied mid-late October are getting decisions right now. Thanks for the info! I'm sure some decisions will come tomorrow but I agree I probably won't hear until next week because of when I submitted. However, it would be a very nice holiday treat if Michigan showed us some love.livefromannarbor wrote: I honestly don't know if it makes a difference, but they are definitely working today. Are you sure admissions was open though? There's classes for sure but I tried to stop in the office and they were locked with lights off by 3 when I was there.livefromannarbor wrote:I honestly don't know if it makes a difference, but they are definitely working today.
