Also got 60k. 168/International. Guess they didn't like my application as much.

I only got 30K...but it may not be that bad with my numbers (international/167). I will give them some updates and try negotiating for more.
Still don't get why the scholly email ended in the spam folder. It came from the same address as the acceptance and that one got in fine.

Re: George Washington c/o 2016
Sounds like a good idea. I'm thinking maybe the DC schools are just tight with their cash (I remember reading that GWU have gotten rid of travel stipends for ASW). I have better offers from peer schools of GWU so we'll see what happens, but I'm aiming for the T14 anyway. You probably have a good shot yourself.weiweilt wrote:I only got 30K...but it may not be that bad with my numbers (international/167). I will give them some updates and try negotiating for more.

As far as travel stipends go, on the admitted students portal it says they will reimburse you $150 IF you matriculate.. Not ideal but better than nothing I guess..poichi wrote:Sounds like a good idea. That's what I've been thinking. Surely someone will free up some money.poichi wrote: I have better offers from peer schools of GWU so we'll see what happens, but I'm aiming for the T14 anyway. You probably have a good shot yourself.

Numbers were 168 and superior GPA evaluation.
Btw, the e-mail says "Your award will renew automatically, provided that you remain in good academic standing." Does this just mean I can't fail any subjects or are they hiding some GPA floor / minimum class ranking behind this??

Got a merit schol offer of $10k/year. That sort of seals my withdrawal. DC is expensive enough without paying almost full tuition at GWU.

How long did it take after getting accepted for you to receive the scholarship offer? I was accepted on Monday with no mention of $$. Wondering if I still have hope.danitt wrote:Got a merit schol offer of $10k/year. That sort of seals my withdrawal. DC is expensive enough without paying almost full tuition at GWU.

Re: George Washington c/o 2016
Soo.. I was accepted via email yesterday! What I've been able to gather from this thread is that scholarship offers come a few weeks after acceptance? I'm not sure that I'll be offered any money but, with a decent scholarship I am EXTREMELY interested in attending. Does anyone have any idea who GW would consider "peer schools" as far as negotiation? I have offers from Emory, Minnesota and, given their splitter friendly reputation, I guess I'm likely to receive an offer from WUSTL. As far as rankings are concerned, it would seem like all three of those schools would be considered peer institutions. Anyone able to shed any light on whether or not GW would see things that way?

Has anyone thought about housing? i am living in the DC area currently and was accepted into GW Law in mid December with a great scholarship so I will most likely be attending. DC is soooo expensive though and even the housing offered by GW is (those apartments aren't great). Any girls need roommates or are people looking now?

Still complete and no movement since 10/22. Barely below both medians, and each time I call they just say they're backed up. I call Bullshit.
Its like Im at this bar and I told the girl I had a crush on at 9 am I would do anything to go home with her, and then she took the next 6 hours to scope out every other guy there. WHY YOU GONNA PLAY ME LIKE THAT!?!?
