I can't imagine they would add pending applicants to that e-mail list.

Re: UC Irvine c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
So I received that letter about the walk/run, and didn't think too much of it. Now I received 2 emails from financial aid
EDIT: Nvm called them, I'm in and should get a packet in the mail today. There was some problem with the Dean's email.
Edit 2: Got the package, 30k/year 2.0 stipend. I'll sir after I hear from LA, but even if I get in there's no way I'm going at sticker.
This was followed by another similar email. So I log with with the number they provided and it says:The University of California, Irvine Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships has received your 2013-14 financial aid application information. You will be receiving more detailed information regarding your application in the near future.
In the meantime, if you have not already done so, we encourage you to activate your UCInetID so you may access your financial aid file and information regarding your application.
I haven't received an acceptance letter, or correspondence regarding my application in a long time. My numbers are 164/3.6. What ya'll think?Based upon the receipt dates as shown below, you will be considered for "priority funding" (this includes grants and loans). Please note, that we may be asking for additional information from you to complete the evaluation of your file. You will remain eligible for priority funding providing all future documents requested are received on or before the due date.

I called UCI Law admissions this morning and asked if the admitted students weekend meant I was in, and they said I should expect a letter today or tomorrow in the mail "with good news". So I'll take that as a yes. Congrats everyone!

Congrats to the new admits that have found out indirectly. Be sure to drop into the class forum.

Is it okay to join the fb group if I'm still on the fence?

No mention of scholly in the initial packet from what I understand. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the packet as it goes to my mom's house, so she may have missed that info.teiswei wrote:Sweet! I'm assuming you weren't rejected either. I got my acceptance with 30k only a few days ago. 164, 3.6.
Give it some time, they're just lagging.

WL'd via mail this weekend. Very surprised given they're giving big scholarships to people with my numbers. Whatever.

Thanks. I'm not too beat up about it; just surprised since they personally encourage me to apply (emails correspondence with the dean, etc). Then again, I didn't tailor my app to Irvine and I'm from the East Coast, so I understand it to an extent.

They have a requirement on their app for an essay explaining why you want to attend. If you didn't do it, that may be the reason. If you're interested, research the school and you will assuredly find a lot to love.nba101790 wrote:Thanks. ^^Most likely geographic YP. (If you haven't noticed, there is a LOT of disdain for UCI on TLS, which is predominately easterners).
UCI is looking for good candidates, who want to be part of this new LS. If you are interested in relocating, send them a quick LOCI spelling out what your interests are in helping build the LS and how it fits your plans.

Does anyone know where most law students end up living? On campus? Off campus where?

So I applied about a month ago and haven't heard anything back about my application even being complete! Is that weird?

They have really solid deals on grad housing. It's on the admitted student site. As for current students, I have no idea.b123 wrote:Does anyone know where most law students end up living? On campus? Off campus where?

I think you should have got something with this:
"Thank you for submitting an application for admission to UC Irvine School of Law. Below indicates the status of the additional required application components. If you sent supplemental information it will not be tracked in this message because it is not required. Yes indicates received and No indicates not received."
As well as some survey. Check your spam, and if there's absolutely nothing you really should call them.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
