I was waitlisted...

Hope you get some better news!

Decision rendered April 30. All signs lead to a 'ding' or WL since others have posted they received an acceptance e-mail so late in the admissions process...

Anyone else go complete yesterday?

I'm a little late to respond, but my DR was also on April 30. I live in Orange County so I'm thinking the decision might arrive today...

Has anyone else on the waitlist received an email from admissions that your file is up for reconsideration and asking you if you are still interested? Is this a good sign? I have to pay my Santa Clara deposit soon but I really don't want to throw away any more money on this application process...

I think that's a pretty good sign that you will be admitted eventually, though it could be June or July before you find out. If you are willing to sit out a year (which would give you an opportunity to retake -- worst case scenario), I would advise you not to send your deposit to Santa Clara. I think the difference between SCU and LLS is probably worth it.

Did anyone else get the reconfirmation email? I'm not sure how exclusive this e-mail is but it sounds pretty LEGIT!

Thank you for returning your Waitlist Response Form to Loyola Law School. The Admissions Committee will begin evaluating waitlist candidates for reconsideration in the next few days. We have a small number of seats available in the entering class. Because your file will be selected for reconsideration, I am writing to inquire whether you are still interested in attending Loyola.

In my experience, the Admissions Committee will request this confirmation only for students they are strongly considering admitting. Once I have received your response, the Admissions Committee will send decision information very soon.

(For your information, financial aid is available for new students, but we are unable to award scholarship funds.)

Loyola is definitely my #1 choice but my 2nd $500 deposit is due for UMiami this Friday by 5pm EST. if I don't hear back from Loyola by the time I pay, i'll lose $200 of that deposit.

I'm kind of tight for cash to just throw away $200 bucks...I guess I'll give admissions a call if i don't hear anything by Friday early afternoon.

Won't be putting down another deposit...$96k scholarship. hope one of you gets my spot/$. very difficult decision, since LA's where I want to practice. The stipulations were just too scary.
