there is housing on the border of campus, but I highly doubt temple offers housing for grad students, they can't even completely house the freshman incoming class.

i was supposed to get mine in the last wk of january. finally gave the office a call this a.m. and was told that bc of the storm the packages were delayed and that if you dont get it by the beginning of next week to call the office and they will send it again.Gemini wrote:Been accepted to Temple since a few days before the new year. Anybody in the same boat?
in a response to an email that i sent for financial aid reasons, i was told that they checked my address and it just may have been lost in the mail.
either way, i would just give it a few more days and call if you dont get it next week.

Finally got my packet after calling and they resent it. They only gave me $7,500 a year. I have a 3.9 gpa and 164 LSAT score.... i expected more given my other scholarships.

Resending? Exactly how many get "lost in the mail?"
They're making it seem like it's a whole bunch of people. Yea right. UPS is pretty bad, but it's not so disorganized as to lose so many packets.

Re: Temple 2011
hey guys
since i had been admitted but didn't get my packet and needed to burn a few extra hours at work, i contacted the fin aid office at temple and asked them if they had received my temple fin aid application and my sar and also to send me a preliminary award letter. admissions responded asking if i could send my sar, which i did, and they gave me a preliminary award letter by day's end.
got a 10k conwell scholarship.
to those who are waiting (and wondering when that packet will arrive) this may be a way to gauge how much you may be getting.

Packet finally arrived, $5k non-renewable. Fairly happy with it considering my numbers (below median LSAT, slightly below 75% GPA).

5K a year non-renewable...doesn't that just mean 5K for the first year?Section141 wrote:Packet finally arrived, $5k a year non-renewable. Fairly happy with it considering my numbers (below median LSAT, slightly below 75% GPA).

Indeed. Guess I shouldn't have included "a year" in there, oops.voltage88 wrote:5K a year non-renewable...doesn't that just mean 5K for the first year?Section141 wrote:Packet finally arrived, $5k a year non-renewable. Isn't their tuition OOS around $30k? I doubt you'd receive any more if that's the case.dreakol wrote:20k a year as long as I remain in the top half.

Congrats though on the 20k!

Just got my packet and got the same. I was expecting more for 162, 3.99 OOS. Definitely kind of shocked... So long, Temple.Section141 wrote:Packet finally arrived, $5k non-renewable. Fairly happy with it considering my numbers (below median LSAT, slightly below 75% GPA).

I was in-state, so not expecting much to begin with. For OOS and those numbers...sorry to hear that.JennBNYC wrote:Just got my packet and got the same. I was expecting more for 162, 3.99 OOS. Edit to add: I don't know much about techy stuff, so when I can actually answer a question I get excited, haha.

165/3.11 here - complete since 1/21. I know my numbers would ordinarily be good for Temple, but the amount of people that seem to be getting WL'd are making me paranoid. Anyone else worried like me, or am I crazy?

Re: Temple 2011
It looks like borderline numbers are favoring in-state residents. Temple is a very local school w/ strong ties to Philadelphia. A large majority also have around 1yr of work experience. If you have these other variables, you should be ok. Good luck.gm1276 wrote:165/3.11 here - complete since 1/21.
