In review since 1/24 as well. At an open house the admissions dean told us that first three people review your app. If they unanimously decide up or down, then that is the decision. If it isn't unanimous, it goes to a bigger review panel. So people who are still waiting are probably at that second stage.

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
although excellent info from above, I highly doubt that people in review 1/21 or later have even been looked at yet.
UW is soooooooooo slow. I still swear if I had not emailed them, I would still be "awaiting cas report" from early nov.

Submitted 11/1, in review 12/1! My gpa's a bit low, but my LSAT is well above their range, so I didn't think it would take over 2 months to hear back...

This thread is starting to get too frustrating for me... I'm going to stay away until I have some actual news to share. Congrats to those who have been accepted.

Oh, nope. Just the folder (which I found to be very professional! I especially liked the financial aid letter, something I find lacking from other schools I've been accepted to).bdubs wrote:Is this more than just the folder?Aggiegrad2011 wrote:The admissions packet is really nice! Anyone know when Admitted Students Days are? I'm trying to put together a calendar.

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
Rejected in the mail today. Decision rendered 1/31. Letter-sized envelope with a single sheet of paper, postmarked 2/1.
It was a weird rejection letter because they emphasize that their decision is final, but then say they keep my app on file and to contact them after June 1 if I want to discuss the reapplication process. There are thousands of people receiving this letter. How many need to know about reapplication for next year that couldn't figure it out themselves? Around three or four?
At the same time, it was really nicely written and was personally signed by the director of admissions, so I will continue to love Seattle forever. Good luck to the rest of you.

I suspect with a > 170 LSAT you'll get into a higher ranked school anyway.

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
It seems like the In Review 12/1 group is made up of splitters. I know I'm in that group and my GPA is about the 25% and my LSAT is above the 75%. Most of the other people I've seen with a 12/1 In Review date have been high LSAT low GPA people as well.

You should be an easy in at WUSTL (and NU will love your WE + LSAT) so I wouldn't spend too long worrying about this one.Bumi wrote:Rejected in the mail today. Decision rendered 1/31. Letter-sized envelope with a single sheet of paper, postmarked 2/1.

Yep, I'm in good shape in the midwest. Y'all don't worry about me. Just wanted to pass along the news that rejections were coming out along with the acceptances we had already heard about.Aggiegrad2011 wrote:You should be an easy in at WUSTL (and NU will love your WE + LSAT) so I wouldn't spend too long worrying about this one.

Was anyone else missing the "scholarship form" that the letter said was in the folder, but wasn't?

Yes. There's a form on their admission website. I was assuming (perhaps wrongly) that that's it.Aggiegrad2011 wrote:Was anyone else missing the "scholarship form" that the letter said was in the folder, but wasn't?

This is all very exciting news. Congratulations to you all.
But now I am just even more confused as to why I haven't gotten any word yet (in review 12/1). I haven't been accepted, but it appears they have also been sending out rejections.
Now I'm thinking -- perhaps waitlist? What are they waiting for?
