Well, I have posts on this site about my guessing on how William and Mary works the apps. But, I was just trying to say it really doesn't matter what I think, or what William and Mary does..because I AIN'T GOING TO WILLIAM AND MARY (even if they accept me)

It's all relative. W&M is a reach for some, while it's probably a safety for T14 candidates (in the same way that GULC is a reach for some and a safety for T10-and-above candidates).

Very true. I suppose American is my safety for George Washington. But GULC a safety for some is a hard thought to have when I'm trying to sleep tonight.

btw, even if u do have numbers for GULC, it is still hard to sleep at night. LSN shows a lot of people in the 170s with sub 3.7 gpas winding up in schools like w&m and below while others wind up in the top 5. a lot is based on how u play it so sleep is no guarantee.

Most of those 170/3.7ish candidates choose W&M because they got too generous a merit offer to refuse--not because they didn't get in anywhere better.

25th %ile of those employed in the private legal sector, which would be more like the top 40%.

Top sixty percent were employed in the legal private sector or had a clerkship (with a 25th %ile, median, and 75th %ile salary statistic of $160,000).

I'd pay sticker for UVA.

25th %ile of those employed in the private legal sector, which would be more like the top 40%.

But those salary quartiles only represent about half the class, and only ~60% of the class has a known salary range. So you've got to factor in the numerous graduates who were underemployed and didn't respond to the employment survey, which would surely bring the median salary down.

Also these statistics are for the Class of '08, so they don't take into account the recession.

Sorry, not trying to downgrade W&M. It's a good school, and it's LST profile is certainly better than many other schools- but I'm not sure I would use LST as evidence of strong employment in the current economy.
