I'm staying at the Hilton near LSU campus. I'm hoping to be able to talk a woman or 5 back to my room. If that doesn't work I'll likely end up taking the shuttle around and hitting up some bars/clubs. Do you have any suggestions?

Now I don't ever remember saying I wanted 5 girls back at my hotel room. Would have been nice, but I don't remember pulling that number out and saying that on my trip I wanted to get 5 girls back to my room.

Anyone else find housing. When I was there for ASW I looked at a few places. The best place I found was the park on bluebonnet. Was a little bit of a drive to campus, but i'm looking to stay out of the undergrad areas. Anyone have an idea of drive time from this area during normal school days? Any other good ideas for housing?

I'd be interested in knowing this too. What's traffic like from 8-10 a.m. on I-10 and I-12 eastbound on a typical weekday.?

You might even want to look at houses for rent. There are a good number in the Staring area, and with a house you won't have to deal with paper-thin walls.

I live at the Park on Bluebonnet. It's an easy drive to the law school. 15 minutes tops.

...And the walls here aren't paper-thin. This is a great complex.

Who all is going to this scholarship dinner. I am super excited. Been a season ticket holder for about 15 years and haven't gotten the full tour yet of the stadium. Excited to see where all my ug money goes to. Also what is the attire?

I'll be there! And the dress is described as "dressy business casual." I'm not 100% sure what that means- I'll probably be wearing a suit.

The chancellor's reception was dressy business casual and attire ranged from a polo and dress pants to a full suit. You'll be fine in between those lol

Well I can't let you upstage me, suit it is. This lawton room is incredible sorry but as a huge Tiger football fan I was more excited about this dinner than the actual scholarship.

There are a few different floor plans for both the 1/1 and 2/2..They had a 1/1 with a study room it was $999. The smallest 2/2 was 1099. I toured a few different floor plans and liked the smallest 2/2, it had the best layout. Hope that helps some.

Looked at Beau Chene floor plans, they also had a nice layout but for a 1/1 it was a 895. Pretty close to campus, but a little more than I wanted to pay.

Yep! All students do. The rock wall is pretty cool, but you do need to bring your own shoes (worth the investment if you are trying to climb often).

My roommate and I are paying $1,074 at the Park on Bluebonnet. There's a $25 monthly discount for living on the third floor. Also, we got out first month's rent free.

does anyone know if there is a way to pay less than $600 for rent/month for a decent apartment close to campus? I'm not very familiar with the area. I'd be willing to live in a 2 or 3 person apartment. I'm not looking for anything fancy, I just need a place to live

Without a doubt. Throughout undergrad, I had a 3 bed/2 bath townhouse on Sharlo Avenue in Tigerland. It was $875. It was nothing special, but it worked.
