Also, I know there were dings earlier this week. Are waitlists usually grouped with admits or dings?

I applied FT and PT. I only have numbers for PT and even then they're still marginal.

Both. GULC does mixed decision batches.

I applied to the PT program only. Completed app on LSAC around 2/2, application complete ~2/8, application completed ~3/8, no updates since then. At one early point my status was "application received," but I don't remember when. (I took the December LSAT and indicated on my app that I was taking the February LSAT, so the admissions committee was probably waiting for those results to come in before seriously looking at my app.) But maybe later today I'll update too.

At this point, I'm not sure we can expect the previous ding/wl/ASW timeline patterns to hold. They're probably now getting waves of will attend/won't attend notices from admitted people (who are in turn finally hearing from other schools) and hunkering down in earnest, trying to figure out how to fill all the slots to ensure their target median LSAT/GPA. Plus, they have a PT undergoing major changes, so they're trying to figure out who to shift over to that program, who'll accept/not accept, etc.

The bottom line is, pray that you get only snail mail and no emails from Georgetown in the next few weeks.

With their notice that they are still taking applications, it looks like they are looking for some high numbers from February test takers.

If they're letting people in off the special preferred waitlist before rendering decisions on us, that cannot bode well. Of course, beats an outright rejection, so...

For evaluation purposes, the Georgetown Admissions Committee typically averages LSAT scores.

Yup, I'm saying goodbye to any dreams of a GULC waitlist. Oh well.

No, acceptances are via snail mail. You get ASW access generally before the snail mail envelope, but this depends on when in the week you're accepted.

I kid, I kid... From what I recall when I read this post some time ago, only WL and dings are via email. Admissions are via admitted students website and snailmail. I may be wrong however.

There isn't a general time frame. It could be a few days, it could be a few months. I suggest reading back through this thread and/or the GULC interview thread if you want something more specific.

No. People find out if they're admitted by checking the Admitted Students Website and requesting to generate a password. If the page generates a password, you're supposed to be in. Formal acceptance letters are sent via snail mail. I hear that Andy Cornblatt personalizes those notes to you.

Rejections and waitlists are sent via email.

GT doesn't have a UR status. As long as you are complete, assume you are UR. I was also 2/3->3/16.

Is it irrational to be afraid of trying to generate a password via the Admitted Students website? I have this inkling that they'll see I checked it and balk and my presumptuousness. But that's just me.

And in that case, I hope I don't get any emails...
