It's bad weather in Cambridge. Harvard is open but I'm sure they'll be heading home asap.

This whole week's been boring as hell. Gave me time to finally play Braid.

Right Harvard is open and public transportation but it might impact how much news we hear today. Just a heads up.

The only thing happening today is a freaking bloodbath at Cornell. Thanks for nothing, sis.

Still no JS1....At least the ASWs at Columbia and NYU have me thinking I'd be just a-ok sans Harvard, anyway!

My odd silent cycle continues. Was interviewed at Cornell last week, but didn't hear a peep during today's bloodbath.
Maybe my numbers are just falling in some sweet spot where the top schools can't quite reject me, and the lower ones want to YP me (there are also surprisingly few people close to me in numbers over at LSN, at least when it comes to decisions).

Assuming your LSN is more accurate than your TLS profile, you've gotten in to most of your schools and basically all except the top 3, which are hard for everyone. What's the problem?nefftron wrote:My odd silent cycle continues. Was interviewed at Cornell last week, but didn't hear a peep during today's bloodbath.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Actually, my TLS profile was more accurate; just updated my LSN page to actually have all my apps on it. I've been pretty lazy with that because I don't like checking all my email dates to get the received/completed dates).
I'm not unhappy with my outcomes, just mystified by how I've heard absolutely zilch from a lot of schools over two months after going complete at some of them.

Skimmed this thread some, but didn't quite find an answer. I was put in the "Held" category on 2/1. Haven't heard anything at all since then. I'm assuming this is likely bad news. Am I correct?

A few pages back, someone said the latest JS1 invites were given to the early Feb completes. Are late Jan/early Feb completes without JS1 invites SOL by this point?

Yes. We are not getting in unless WLIntrigue wrote:Skimmed this thread some, but didn't quite find an answer. I was put in the "Held" category on 2/1. Haven't heard anything at all since then. I'm assuming this is likely bad news. Am I correct?

I think that's a bit overdramatic. Some held applicants have already been admitted. I don't think that the held thread will get much movement until late May though and obviously the percent of held applicants admitted may be lower than that of non-held applicants.

In case there's anyone else in my position, I want you to know that you're not alone.
Went complete mid-jan and I have not heard anything since (no held, no JSI, no WL).
