the updates (aka "Status" and "Current Status Date") don't really mean much, and certainly don't ever tell you anything significant once you've gone Complete. They also don't release any decision information via status checker, just email or interview.

Good to know, I've been lingering around "Application Received" for over 2 weeks now, hopefully it's just a case of them not using the app status check then. My avatars holdin down for my boy Rack Em Willie, a true role model.

Good news is ive decided (sans a WUSTL acceptance and scholly) that I'm going to SMU. I expect this decision to not change for another 37 hours.

Just out of curiosity, how much did they offer you? I thought UMN offered you a pretty hefty scholarship too?

Yeah, I'd still rather go to WUSTL, but their scholarship offer just became a much more effective bargaining chip than before.

They've got to be super desperate to make this change mid-cycle. They gave out tons of full rides thinking that a significant percent of them wouldn't be renewed after the first year. Iowa also extended their application deadline by three months, to June 1st.
