I haven't either. After Friday, though, when this happened, I'm skeptical.thelong wrote:Status checker has yet to update. Commence hoping so hard.

Re: Michigan c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Managed to succeed for the most part in avoiding the boards for the weekend. Popped in here a few times but I think ive finally piled enough on my plate that Mich. won't consume me for the next few weeks. Found out on Friday I've got two mid terms on the same day coming up, and I think I may just have to take them both concurrently because it can't be changed. Also got hit / hit someone (he was in the wrong but I was reversing, no damage but knocked something out which I needed to reattach so that's a headache). Also still complete. LIFE, COME AT ME BRO.
Being serious, I didnt want to check this but I decided to take a peak at reality. If we are WLed and you plan to ride it out it looks like acceptances didn't happen until the end of June. I know WL action is dependent on other people but holy shit that scares me. Having to move across country and everything, it would be catastrophic to plan for NY or DC,possibly secure housing and whatnot and find out in July you have to change all of that (although i would for Mich.) I guess the good thing is by Friday I can at least send my deposit to GULC and start planning for there if a WL is in my future as that will make this previous wait lovely
I really would like to know though, would depend on what type of car i look to get to replace my trooper now (it seems like good used cars are a lot cheaper out here). She won't handle snow in DC or AA well at all.

Had not one but two dreams about getting waitlisted by Michigan last night.

I'd really just love to have some movement from somewhere this week. Michigan, Penn, Cornell, USC, UCLA, Vanderbilt... I'm not sure what it is about me that makes people so indecisive :/ Applied 11/17 everywhere...

It's kind of funny. I applied mid November/early December for Cornell, UCLA and Vanderbilt, and late October for Michigan, USC and Duke. I've heard back from the ones I applied later to, but have heard nary a peep from the earlier apps.Green Glass Windows wrote:I'd really just love to have some movement from somewhere this week. There is your answer. They don't like your name (or color).Green Glass Windows wrote:I'd really just love to have some movement from somewhere this week. Correct. Per Dean Z's blog, waitlist is the only decision exclusively conveyed through status checker. All other statuses are USPS letter and status checker.luxxe wrote:so.. when we all find out we were waitlisted, it will be through status checker, right?

I will be the most unhappy of campers if I get waitlisted. I will be totally irrational about it. Fair warning.ScrabbleChamp wrote:Correct. It probably won't be a good thing. It'll probably be more of a "Wow, this is awkward. I actually think less of you now than before that angry rampage."
If you've ever had one of those moments where your parents are arguing with each other at the dinner table and no one knows whether or not they should keep eating, you might have an idea of what I'm talking about.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Omg this makes so much sense, including the fact that notre dame is one of the only schools I've heard from thus far.ScrabbleChamp wrote:There is your answer. Re: Michigan c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Honestly, if I got waitlisted now I'd be pissed, but I definitely think JMJ, TL and Luxxe might be most "righteous" in their anger if so. I might be above their LSAT median but I could logically accept being held because of my GPA (dunno if I'll reflect this initially in my attitude -_-).
Really though, at this point, I'm banking on either acceptances or WLs. If they denied us after waiting four months without even bothering to throw the WL bone that would be the ultimate kick in the nuts.
And honestly, every once in a while even grown men need to throw temper tantrums. Just limit it to once every half decade. So if a WL is in store, you might as well use up your tantrum limit now.
Edit: Although you're in at NYU long so if it makes you feel any less guilty, I'm thought dicking you

Does a WL at Michigan mean you'll be paying sticker even if you eventually get off? If so I'll probably just withdraw right away and be done with it.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
