Denied. At least now I know what city I'll be living in this Fall.

I guess they're just slowly going through the hold pile to make a WL or ding decision...

Oh well. It would have been a tough call but I'd have probably chosen either NY school over Harvard at this point anyway. (Or at least that's what I'll tell myself from this point on

Just to point this out, but since avd90 is a URM, this might be the time for targeted KB1s.
I guess there might be a trickle of them as people withdraw in advance of the May 1st deadline.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
I figured my cycle was over and I was going to reapply after a June retake and work in the city. I just went apartment hunting. This is so amazing and shocking. I haven't even been on this thread because I figured there was no way in hell. I know I can go back and look at this thread, but I'm anxious and in the car. How quickly after KB1s have people been hearing other news? Ahhh so anxious.
Also, what is a targeted KB1? Sorry for being n00b status

Second, I used the phrase "targeted" to imply that Harvard might be sending out KB1s this week to specific demographics in the applicant pool. This sometimes happens late in the cycle when a school realizes that it needs more X, where X = high LSAT, high GPA, URM, etc.

Thanks! That's what I figured you meant, but I just wanted to make sure. Now I'm getting all anxious because I already put an application down for an apartment in NYC and verbally agreed to a legal assistant gig for a year. I can obviously pull out of these things, and would for Harvard, but it's so crazy this is happening this late in the game! Looks like I have to put off signing that lease...Doorkeeper wrote:First off, congrats!avd90 wrote:I figured my cycle was over and I was going to reapply after a June retake and work in the city. New York State has a law that you can break your lease if you are moving over 50 miles for work or education purposes. I'm not sure on the specifics, but I'm pretty sure getting out of the apartment won't be a problem.avd90 wrote:Thanks! That's what I figured you meant, but I just wanted to make sure.
