I don't thinks it's a bad idea. I did that with my Cornell essay. I would give you the results, but apparently I won't be hearing back until I graduate ls and get a job.

But honestly, it'll show you did the research.
This has nothing to do with Michigan but I would like to express my amazement that nobody took the name Moriarty on TLS until so recently! I've been watching the Sherlock BBC series, it's pretty excellent, especially if you've read all the books.

Good luck to those of you still waiting!

Mwhahaha, I was super excited to learn that. Been a fan of Sherlock Holmes since middle school. I haven't watched the BBC series, but all my friends will continue giving me evil looks until I do. :) BBC is usually pretty good about book-to-series conversion.

BBC'S Sherlock is actually not at all about book-to-series conversion - set in modern times, it's full of references and motifs and plot elements from the original stories, but intentionally blended together and changed around. It's really interesting. For example, in the first episode ("A Study in Pink"), SH declares that "Rache" written on the wall obviously is an unfinished "Rachel," and not the German word for "revenge" as a dweeby lab guy or someone points out. Full of stuff like that.

In Michigan related news, I am going absolutely insane with this waiting. I practically live within sight of the law school, it kills me to know they're still deliberating over me in there. Now I almost wish I had ED'd, I just want to go to Michigan so badly.

Does Umich update their status checker daily? I was complete 2/15, but it's updated to 2/17

Hmm. My sneaky friends left out that detail because they know I'm not from this century and prefer a proper Sherlock Holmes. Back to being obstinate. (I'll probably watch it and like it, but don't tell them I said that.)

...and also back to related things. Good luck to you! Maybe we should all band together and create a combined LOCI?

You may have been given more leeway if you:

A) learned how to use the search function, or

B) read a page or two before asking a question that has been asked more times than anyone cares to remember.

also, the first result of the google search "does michigan law's status checker update daily?" yields the answer

Had a dream that I got into Mich and woke up crying in the middle of the night. I have reached the summit of Pathetic Mountain.

Still Completely obsessed.

The good news is once you've reached the summit you can ride the struggle copter back down.

Forever Early Decision -- No Decision

What's up Michigan? Have you even looked at your ED applicants again?

Tempted to send a LOCI to Mich updating them on my recent activities. So far, I'm just chilling at complete. Would it be detrimental or helpful to send a letter at this point?

To put in full context, I applied at the end of Jan. and just went complete about a week ago. Still helpful or neutral?

If we knew how to get in, we would have done it. Maybe try the question at the admitted students thread?

What could you have done in the last three weeks that warrants an update about it!? I understand you are feeding into our paranoia, but don't get dragged down by us. They know you are interested, they just got to your app a week ago.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
