Am I the first/only person to be waitlisted today? I don't know whether to be excited or ashamed.

Is this wave of KB2's the last one? Should we be expecting waitlist/rejections soon?

HLS put on a really great show for their ASW. Enjoy Cambridge unless I would see you in New Haven:)

Is the waitlist considered a decision? Can I deposit at a school and maintain a place on the H waitlist?

It is not a final decision so you most certainly can.Elliott_Smith wrote:Is the waitlist considered a decision? Can I deposit at a school and maintain a place on the H waitlist?

You should double check with the school's deposit policy. Some schools require you to withdraw from every school you applied to even if the decision was not rendered there.Elliott_Smith wrote:Is the waitlist considered a decision? Can I deposit at a school and maintain a place on the H waitlist?

They don't require it, they "request" or "expect" it because LSAC specifically bars them from requiring it. See the Stanford/Yale admissions blogs. Misinformation about deposit requirements has been a major problem this year because schools have (seemingly intentionally) used vague language in their deposit agreements that makes it seem as though they must withdraw pending applications or WLs, when in fact that is simply untrue.
Edit: Even schools like Uchi which specifically requested that you withdraw pending apps and WLs acknowledged during the Admitted Student Chat that it was a request not a requirement. So you have no need to worry.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
