Same stat range. Originally I had thought of it as not super reach - MyLSN gave me a yellow. Now it seems certain to be a ding, so I just wish they would get on with it.
i wonder how many people who haven't had any change and have similar stats are URMs...

Most of the people i know who use this term are referring to three/four schools - University of North Carolina. Virginia, Or UC Berk/LA
I hear it said about 90% of the time with UNC though

Yeah. I never heard it said around UMich. We do call ourselves the Harvard of west (which whatever - I never bought one of those shirts) but never public ivy. Also, likely more of my first gen showing, but when I looked at the list of which schools were public ivies, I was pretty surprised. I didn't know that any of the schools other than UC schools had such academic prestige nationally.

I think it is a kind of dumb term.

Semi-similar stats but I have median LSAT and GPA not crazy below 25th. And yeah I'm a URM...no date change...

I'm mixed. I have white and mexican checked - but I primarily identify as white and indicated such. Pretty sure I'm not getting any URM bump. But maybe it's why I haven't been dinged yet?

I just really, really need for them to waitlist me, because it'll take far longer to come to terms with a rejection.
I refuse to believe it takes any admissions committee six full months, replete with indications of continued interest and updates from a candidate, to realize that said candidate is not a good fit. period.

I emailed them asking why I have not received a Decision Letter, when it is already 4/26, and it says 4/24 DLS. They responded saying they would email me before the 30th...Now I am thinking they are just waiting to WL everyone in one batch.
I just sent a similar email. I'm sure they'll tell me the same thing. I just want them to understand how ridiculous it is to update a status checker with "Decision Letter Sent" if a DECISION LETTER HAS NOT BEEN SENT.
They won't understand because they have zero tact as they have shown.

At least NYU has a status checker unlike CLS...

URM as well. LSN had me at a 95 percent acceptance. LSAT a few points below median, GPA > 75th... Also even 1/4 URM counts. if you check it, it matters (from what I've gathered from LSAC forums geared towards diversity, admissions officers, etc.)

UGA is ranked #18 among publics, which isn't bad but hardly a public ivy...

I'm 1/4t - my father's family is from mexico, but I was raised by my mother, so it's never main identity for me. Just a fact I'm aware of.

Also I realized my above comment was poorly worded. What I meant was, I don't think I'm getting a bump, but I haven't been dinged yet (and my stats deserve a ding) so maybe I am.
