Also in via email. Seriously considering the possibility now, especially since I'll most likely be staying or returning to the southeast anyway.

Re: Tulane 2010
When did you guys apply? And do you mind sharing #'s?
I got waitlisted at my top choice school today, and I'm really getting worried about not having anywhere to go this Fall. I applied to Tulane fairly late (mid-February), and although I'm sure I am in for a long wait, there has to be some update soon considering the approaching seat deposit deadlines.

I don't mind. I submitted my app in mid-January. I heard back a few days ago. My numbers are 161/3.4, non-URM, in undergrad, minor softs. Not really sure how I pulled that one off?

Re: Tulane 2010
About 80% sure I'll be heading to tulane.
Is anyone planning on going to the April asw.
I know its cutting it close to the seat deadline, but next weekend just doesn't work for me.
I think I'm planning on driving up.
Tulane gives a 300 credit towards air/hotel but the flight for me would be 300 alone. I'd rather drive the 11 hours, treat it like a road trip and be able to drive arround the city.
I'm in Florida. If anyone else is interested in a road trip to tulane from Florida let me know.

I'll be there for the April ASW, waverider! We should organize a TLS meetup at a bar or something.

What are the dates of the ASW? Also, my complete date just updated to 3/19, perhaps I'll hear a decision soon?

Re: Tulane 2010
Sat in on a Contract law class today. The professor seemed nice and approachable. Wil be going on a tour in a bit.
New Orleans is a beautiful city and the food was to die for. Waiters and locals were VERY helpful with housing advice. I found it to be a nice combo of city pace/attitude and southern hospitality. I think I have made my choice.
If any of you have kids, application dealines for the charter school program is April 9th.

Re: Tulane 2010
I can't attend the ASW b/c the dates do not fit my schedule, but I already visited the law school recently, so hopefully I won't be missing out on too much.
I sent in my deposit today!! I am going to look into the FB group, I assume I should be able to join since I have committed. If not I will just start a new one =)
I have started looking into housing options thru the Tulane roommate/rental system and also thru craigslist/other rental websites. Also still potentially going to buy something. I'm hoping it will be easy enough to find housing and roommates.

Re: Tulane 2010
Sorry to vent but the waiting is killing me. People that applied after me are getting accepted with equal or worse numbers. I called today to see what my situation was and they told me that I would hear back by the end of the month. I have been accepted to various peer schools so I don't think something is inherently wrong with my application and I wrote a sincere Why Tulane because I really think it would be one of my top 3 choices. 164 isn't what it used to be.

How has your 1L experience been at Tulane so far? Are you happy with the decision you made?
I see that you did get a scholarship. Would you have gone to Tulane if you hadn't gotten money from them?
