Re: BC Law 2010
yeah let's not freak out too much, i was just wondering. we've seen ONE 12/7 get in, so let's not celebrate until we see a trend. i would love for it to be true though, as i'm a 12/7.

Re: BC Law 2010
Good to hear it! I really don't think the decisions influence date completely, just adding fuel to our firedakatz wrote:I'm 12/11 and not particularly nervous at all. In fact, I feel pretty confident that it will be good news tomorrow. I'm 167, 3.5x URM, and I went to visit BC and chat with the admissions staff a few weeks ago. They made me feel even more confident in my chances given my numbers and circumstances. I feel like BU and BC are very similar with regard to rank, selectivity, etc. And I'm in at BU with a 75K scholarship, so logic would make me assume that I'd at least get into BC, even if its not with such a nice scholarship. So no, I don't think all 12/11's should be worried just by virtue of their decision date.GobiasIndustries wrote:On behalf of the 12/11s, I am nervous.
Here's to tomorrow being a huge day of acceptance packets!

I'm part of the group that thinks dates are relevant, and all the early status changes I believe are a positive sign. You guys all have amazing numbers and I'd be surprised if we weren't part of the first wave of acceptances. All of us according to TLS, LSN seem to have a very good chance of getting in. Best of luck on the rest of your cycle, I personally think BC's in the bag.

? haha you have great numbers and you're in at BU already Veritas. I'm referring to the fact that early status changes so far have really strong numbers, and I don't think it's just a coincidence.Veritas wrote:are just making this stuff up?killuminati wrote:Veritas you're 12/8? I have a feeling that the 12/7s are the group that BC feels will be the most physically attractive.

Re: BC Law 2010
None of us can obviously say what the date changes mean, but this could be correct. If the status changes actually correspond to when they entered your decision into the system, it makes sense that the ones they were most sure about (either accept or reject, to be fair) would get entered first. Maybe us 12/11s onward gave them more of a challenge?killuminati wrote: ? haha you have great numbers and you're in at BU already Veritas. However, this only makes sense if we believe that they made all their decisions in the week leading up to the 15th. It's much more likely that they made decisions since November and used this week to update their database.
So my point is that nothing makes sense and we have no idea what's going on. Or, at least, I don't.

I'm 12/8 (163, 3.5 - pretty decent softs). I'm worried for the 12/8s as BC was a real reach for me. What do you guys think!?

haha I know, that's very true. But I'm trying to pull a Babe Ruth here...You know points to the outfield and then homerun. I can see the ball coming and I'm already envisioning all of us knocking it out of the park.GobiasIndustries wrote:None of us can obviously say what the date changes mean, but this could be correct. I agree. When those status checkers change, "something" is happening. It ain't random. Whether it's good or bad is another story.GobiasIndustries wrote:None of us can obviously say what the date changes mean, but this could be correct.
