It seems that the general theme is that we all had better options higher in the ranks

I don't! At least not yet. I'm in at higher ranked places but without scholarship info yet.principalagent wrote:It seems that the general theme is that we all had better options higher in the ranks

All of you complaining about your scholarship offers... go somewhere else! Leave spots for those of us that would give anything to go to UT and haven't gotten in yet. Congrats on offers from other amazing schools... now take them!

I don't see anyone complaining. I just can't attend UT if it's not the best option for me financially, hence a little disappointment. Did the scholarship emails get staggered at all yesterday? I'm OOS, accepted 12/19, and haven't heard anything yet.

One of my friends was admitted with a 161 and 3.7 last cycle. I do believe he was URM and he was definitely in-state. Another friend admitted this cycle with 162/3.75. She is in-state and non-URM. Totally not unheard of.lollering_99 wrote:Has anyone known any reverse-splitters to be admitted to UT re: under 25% for LSAT, but above 75% for GPA?
How long does it generally take to receive the status tracker?

Texas is hardcore ghosting me. I submitted a bit after you, but it's still long enough that it's driving me insane.Texasdoggo wrote:Anyone else still have silence? Submitted 11/16, status checker just says received and ready for review, etc...

Not really, that means you went complete early December, given the holidays you’ve been UR for a month or so, i was UR longer than that before acceptance for most schools

I just received an interview request, I’m in state so I wasn’t expecting this, how common has it been? Texas is (obviously) my top choice and I just don’t know what to expect or how to take this. I’ve only applied to other Texas schools (and UW) so I’m not familiar with interviews or anything like that. I’m trying to take it as a good sign but I’m also really nervous.

Definitely a good sign. Judging from the poll they’re now interviewing everyone that they’re accepting (so far this cycle, at least), so you’re at least moving along.sophiap5 wrote:I just received an interview request, I’m in state so I wasn’t expecting this, how common has it been? Just applied, most of my applications went in over a month ago but I thought I'd toss an app to Texas even though it's late in the cycle. The more I learned about the school the more I liked it and the "Why Texas" basically wrote itself so hopefully I'm not too late to have a shot as a splitter!
