At the end of the day it will probably come to how much money I really want to spend to have a bigger safety net and more prestige if I snagged Berkeley for instance.
But yeah basically wherever Colonel goes since we've basically done the exact same thing since joining TLS. We are such sheep.

USC UG student. It's actually 7pm to 2am. We have an uber promo that allows us to uber pool for free within a specific geographic area that is also covered by "Campus Cruiser." It's to ensure that students can get around the area easily since it's not the safest place.Rigo wrote:Mr_Chukes wrote: Also don't forget, USC has free Uber from 7pm-7am.how does that work?

I am from California (although currently live in WA) so I do not think its geographically related. When you turned in your apps were your letters of rec completed? That's the only thing I can think of- one of my recommenders got her letter in a couple weeks after I submitted my application.

Hmm...the 509 says 95% of graduates in 2012-15 took the CA bar exam. Wonder if that's due to self selection or placement reach.Rigo wrote:Don't think so. Most people want to live in California. There is national placement but LA is a huge market and can't beat the Cali weather and culture.goldenbear2020 wrote:Hmm...the 509 says 95% of graduates in 2012-15 took the CA bar exam. I applied for the Rothman Scholars program because why not. Don't expect to get it, but hey it was just an essay. It honestly seems like one of the best deals out there- free tuition, stipend, and a guaranteed 1L SA?

+1 the odds are very low for me, but it seemed like i had nothing to lose, and everything to gain, by applying

Yeah I just couldn't bring myself to reasonably talk about my entrepreneurial spirit because it would just be such a stretch. And though my numbers are good for USC, I don't think they're at the target Rothman level.
I'd rather just negotiate to a fully normally than waste my time on Rothman.
Plus although having some security for a summer job is nice, Skadden is a renowned for being a sweatshop and is generally avoided by people with the grades to do so.
