Seems like there are not many of us left on the waitlist. I started off PWL but may have relegated myself. Any other PWLers still around?

I'm also RWL & still waiting. Truth be told, my optimism is taking a dive, though.lawschool1856 wrote:I'm RWL. Still here.

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2015-2016 (Class of 2019)
Alright, people.... No more of this negativity.
First and foremost, my weak, little heart can no longer handle seeing that damn yellow icon in this Georgetown thread and reading that we all have bad feelings about getting dinged. That is just anxiety talking. And your anxiety fuels my anxiety. So let's stop that. We know so little about all this that we have the unique opportunity to either be pessimistic or optimistic, but it's most definitely a choice.
Here's how I'm looking at it, and I urge you to join me:
Seeing as multiple people are coming out of the woodwork in this thread, there's clearly a lot of people left on the waitlist (PWL and RWL). While that might initially seem like a bad thing, I really don't think it is. If there were truly no more space, a lot more of us would have been let go of the waitlist in the last wave (We still have A FULL MONTH before August! [Happy July, everyone]).
Not to mention, waitlists have been slow pretty much everywhere this cycle. I don't know about you, but I have trouble believing that, overnight, law schools became incredibly great at retaining their admitted students. More likely, there are a bunch of students trying to get as much money as possible from as many schools at which they are deposited (which, yeah, not fun for us, but would indicate there is definitely space left).
There's maybe 25 people in the Georgetown class on TLS... so... all information on here is terribly skewed and we should give it little value. The Facebook group is even less reliable. That's a hodge-podge of people, not just students, and plenty of students could have withdrawn and not updated.
In other words, the fat lady has NOT sung. Let's hang in there

Part time applicant. Do you think it would help or hurt my app to let them know I've been offered a full time job for a part of the government?

I don't think it can hurt. Having something like that on your resume is great, and it gives you another excuse to contact GT with good news, and to tell them you'll attend if acceptedRealgiftofthemagi wrote:Part time applicant. Agreed - it'll prob help as much as anything that can "help" this late in the cycle. Congrats!Anonnonnon wrote:I don't think it can hurt. If you were told you'd hear back by the end of June, and you still haven't heard back, you should call them asapLeslieknopepawnee wrote:Is there anyone else who was told Georgetown expected to be in touch by the end of June, but still haven't heard anything?

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2015-2016 (Class of 2019)
I went to the Georgetown info session last week. I was able to talk with the admissions person (it was her last day) and she said that they pick from both regular and priority waitlists. They dont exhaust the priority before going to regular.
She also said that once people start missing the deadline to pay for their deposit, they start to admit more and more.
kind of sick, but heres hoping that people are not on top of their ish.
That being said, I still have not heard anything (I'm on regular waitlist as a transfer student).
I really dont care about OCI because I plan on going to PLIP in August and have 7 interviews lined up. just hope they give us a shot!

Does anyone know how many people actually dropped out in previous years at this point, ie: missed the tuition deadline?
Hope everyone is doing okay out there!

Lol at that time they said they expected to be in touch by June 30. I will only forgive their tardiness if I'm ultimately accepted.

Would anyone else on the waitlist mind sharing if they did not receive an email from Georgetown today?awern714 wrote:Did everyone get the same email today? Mine just asked if I'd like to be considered for a spot.
