Same timeline and I haven't heard anything.Leslieknopepawnee wrote:I applied in early November, interviewed mid December and haven't heard anything. I'm assuming this is normal for Vandy? It seems like they have a slow turn around but idk..

Sorry bro. That sounds rough. On the bright side, you survived the first batch of WLs. Hopefully you get your decision soon.BirdLawExpert wrote:I'll just be over here, calmly counting to ten and trying to think about happy thingsmaddyfatty wrote:IN! That's true. I'm still hopeful, but it's frustrating when they say that "interviewing will expedite your application", and you interviewed over two months ago.SirArthurDayne wrote:Sorry bro. It's okay, though, I've got seven seasons of the X-Files left to watch

Yea that is interesting. I'm above both medians and haven't even went under review yet and I submitted the same day as you.lol Did your status checker show movement prior to your acceptance? Congratulations by the way!maddyfatty wrote:Above 75th LSAT but 25-50th GPA so very surprisedJuliusCaesar wrote:Above both medians I'm assuming?maddyfatty wrote:IN! Did you interview? This is honestly somewhat confusing now. I'm above 75th LSAT and below 25th GPA, interviewed back in November, and haven't heard anything since I went complete.maddyfatty wrote:Above 75th LSAT but 25-50th GPA so very surprisedJuliusCaesar wrote:Above both medians I'm assuming?maddyfatty wrote:IN! Re: Vanderbilt University Law School c/o 2019 (2015-2016) Applicants
Yeah, that's how I'm starting to feel. When I went up to visit and interview, I got the impression of a very involved staff with a lot of energy and focus, but since then that impression has effectively reversed. I can understand taking a long time to come to decision on some applicants, but if you tell future students that interviewing will expedite the process and that turns out to be explicitly false, that's very disconcerting. Especially considering that they're potentially asking us to spend a small fortune attending their school.thelincolnlawyer wrote: Yeah I really don't know what is taking Vandy so long with some of our apps. My LSAT is lower than yours (only above median), but LSN shows all but one person with my score being accepted last cycle. It's really turning me off as an applicant, especially considering the amount of involvement I've encountered with GULC.

Did you ever hear back on this?killingmesoftly wrote:Thanks for the encouragement:) I'll go ahead and email them and let y'all know when I get an answer.MOKE4311 wrote:I normally do to, but I emailed another school who didn't at all mention reimbursement and they were friendly about it! I've had the opposite experience. I applied/got accepted to Vandy within 3 weeks or so (including the holiday break). What kind of interactions have you been having with GULC? And how long did it take for you to get your interview request from GULC?thelincolnlawyer wrote:Yeah I really don't know what is taking Vandy so long with some of our apps. I got my interview request six business days after I went complete, and I was accepted about a week and a half after my interview.hopefuljumbo23 wrote:I've had the opposite experience. Ever since then me and other admitted students get communicated with pretty regularly, including some personalized notes from Dean Cornblatt and being put in contact with local alumni who are practicing in fields we're interested in.

Didn't interview, but I also have some softs (top UG and family ties to Vandy) that may have expedited the process. Don't worry, I'm sure that black box will be coming for you any day now!BirdLawExpert wrote:Did you interview? This is honestly somewhat confusing now.
